Thank you!
If anyone is interested, this is the pre-op diet I am following - it's called the real food diet.

today my food will be...
Breakfast - one slice of toast
Lunch - Greek salad (I emailed the dietician yesterday to ask if I could use low fat Feta cheese as my low fat cheese and she said yes)
Afternoon snack - handful of grapes
Dinner - I have carbs to use up today, so I will have four tablespoons of rice, a small turkey breast cooked in onion and garlic and simmered in a small tin of tomatoes.
Evening snack of strawberries and a dollop of natural yoghurt.
When you write it down like this, you'll see why I am not finding the diet too hard. I'm having to be quite imaginative with the list of foods I can have, but I am managing to create nice meals and I'm enjoying it. The portion sizes are a third of what they used to be, but with using the "slow eating" technique and drinking lots of water and squash, I havent felt hungry since I started!
I'm over the moon! I mean I know I have a lot to lose, and that you always lose a decent amount of weight in the first week, but I'm really pleased with my weight loss and how its going so far.
I'm getting questioned by people who are seeing how well i'm doing though, asking me why I dont cancel the op and just continue on this - I try to explain that the reason I am so motivated to do well right now, is to have a safe operation with a smaller liver, but they dont see that, they think I could just continue this way forever. I dont think that this would be sustainable forever. Anyway, it's my choice and I can't wait for my op. Two weeks today
