Fat teens, fat twenties - my thirties will be fitter!

Can anyone tell me if I'm doing ok? I haven't felt very hungry at all since my op but I'm unsure if I'm under eating or not.

Yesterday I managed a frube pouch, half a tin of soup and two milky coffees and loads of squash.

Today I have had a milky coffee, an actimel and a frube tube. I'm craving savoury stuff but haven't much enjoyed my soups so far - any ideas?

I can only say based on my experience. You read all the diaries on here yet when you're immed post op reality is you're not bothered about food. I went with my body just as you have. Did not go about forcing drink down me etc just if I wanted a bit had it and if not I didn't. Your appetite will return over time!!

Just made my own soup and I quite enjoyed it! Used half a tin of chopped tomatoes and a few slices of thinly cut chorizo and brought them to the boil then stirred in a spoonful of green pesto and Philadelphia cheese and let it melt through, then I blended it all and sieved it into my bowl! Was really yummy! :)

Hi Lisa. I did not feel hungry after op for about four days. I haven't really felt very hungry still had my op last Thursday. I am just fed up with soup and milk. Have been blending some chicken into veg soup to flavour. I can manage a large mug of soup now but definately had enough after that. Not sure what we should be feeling right now!!!!

Have had a bad nights sleep with the pain in my left side making me feel breathless. Every time I drink I get pain and gurgles afterwards, but only if the drink is cold - not hot or warm. I think I've read someone else say that on here. Last night I had a low fat custard pot and really enjoyed it, but my god did I pay not long after. I'd eaten it cold from the fridge and I'd been careful to eat it slowly etc but the pain it caused lasted about 40 minutes, I was bent double. I woke up with no pain this morning then after a wee it came racing back. I have work on Wednesday so I'm going to rest up this weekend and keep taking the dog out for little walks to keep moving and try to feel better for then

I struggled with cold stuff in the early days

I just has and really enjoyed a tin of weight watchers chicken noodle soup! Mmmmhmmm! The noodles and vegetables were small and soft and I blended it all together and it was lovely.

really enjoyed reading your diary well done on your surgery

Well today I decided to get up and do something and it was weigh in day so I got up dressed and had an actimel strawberry for breakfast then I got on my moped and went to get weighed at boots. I'd lost another four pounds bringing my weight loss in the last (just over) three weeks to 25 pounds (1 stone 11) so I'm thrilled with that! I then went to tesco and stocked up on juice, smoothies, soups and nas squash and I've just got back and had half a tin of pea and ham soup sieved with some milk to make it smoother! I'm so pleased with how things are going!

wow ur doing so well :)
Im pre op, but came onto the site to get myself ready for my journey.
All the wonderful stories ive been reading and the incredible weight loss is amazing.
Good luck hun and well done xx

Mmmmhmmm! I just had the loveliest soup from tesco! It's in their one off specials range and is called royal velvet chicken soup (like the covent garden range) for half a carton it was 135 calories and it was totally smooth, so for those directly post op, it's perfect, no need to even sieve! It was gorgeous too and I feel full and all warm inside! Highly recommended!

Well done Lisa you're doing fab!!

How are you getting on Lisa? The soup sounds yum, I'm going to take note of all these for when I come out as not being a soup lover I'll need all the help I can get!

Hope you have had good weekend and your band is settling in nicely!

Well done Lisa. It's great to see the scales heading in the right direction isn't it. And so quickly!

I am not meaning to bring doom and gloom, just wanting to make you aware ... It may happen to you as it happens to many banders after the first few weeks, weight loss can stall as the body becomes accustomed to eating less. If it does, don't become disheartened. It does start again, but you may need to give your body a bit of a shake up at that point in time.

For the meantime though, be proud of yourself girl! Look forward to seeing the pictures of your progress! I know I used to avoid having my Picci taken ... But now no more! And if you are brave enough to do the bikini shots of before and after like Jo did, how inspirational and motivational would that be?! :)

Ssssssh lol :D

Great news on loosing Lisa! I hated chicken soup before my op, now I find it so soothing! Will have to keep an eye out for it!

I am struggling today! I'm just having a really hungry day! Nothing seems to satisfy me! I think that I'm due my totm so that may explain it, but I'm really craving something to chew. I was fine just yesterday but today it's like I'm a hunger monster!

Lisa I have just updated my diary and was just saying how I am really craving something solid. I haven't really had the hunger monster calling but just feel the need for something solid. I can have stodgy food from Wednesday hope I don't start eating too much again. Well done on your loss you have done so well just hang in there not much longer

I went back to work today and although exhausting I found it useful as I had to concentrate on something other than food and dieting. I wasnt hungry and i had an actimel for breakfast, ww soup for lunch and a frube and a latte from the canteen! It was a good day but I'm off to bed now!
