Hi All,
Long time since I posted anything. Have been monitoring the chit -chat and banter though. I was sleeved on 12 Feb and am 10 weeks out.
Firstly, my heart goes out to all of you who have had complications and are facing post op challenges. A gentle reminder... We all chose to get the surgery done so that we could lead better (thinner) lives, wear good clothes, feel healthy and energetic. So let's not phases faze us. Let's all become big losers
.
Coming down to my progress so far. I started out at 109.7 Kgs (241.5 lbs) and am now down 19.7 kgs (43.4 lbs) to 90 kgs (198 lbs). Waist is down from 54 inches to 42 inches (a loss of 12 inches)
Needless to say that I am on cloud nine. A few of the little things that I am enjoying are :-
- being able to bend down and tie my shoe laces
- my thighs don't rub as much when i walk/ run
(i used to wear a cycling shorts underneath to avoid rashes and still do)
- the ease with which my trousers fit and slip off
- the nipple rash/chaffing while running is less frequent
- i can run more easily and am doing a lot of interval cardio and weight training
- the apparent flat tummy and the way the shirts fall (i like to tuck them in now)
- improvement in the lovemaking department too (TMI)
My weight too has been fluctuating over the last 10 odd years (like so many of us) so I have old clothes which i am enjoying wearing.
My surgeon is very good and I have monthly follow ups with him and am looking forward to standing on the scale on 12 Apr.
Trying to upload some pics.
Until next time... Be healthy, thing positive, fight the odds and become mighty losers....
Cheers
