Thank you all *So* much for the good wishes. The news really did make my day. Have sent out several text messages to the people I told about it and the phones have been ringing and beeping non-stop ever since.

I'm hoping that it won't be too long before I hear something from the GP.

Trinaweena, I get exactly the same problem on the site of my c-section scar. I caught the flesh eating bug from my last c-section 14 years ago. Now every month it flares up because I have a fold of tummy skin hanging over it. My legs rub together and chaffe and sanitary protection makes the whole thing worse. Skin literally peels off month after month. I'm looking forward to being able to use the treadmill after the op so that I can try and walk more, but have to be careful of my knees and other joints.

Hopefully if I can loose weight, it will also help these recurring trapped nerves that I also get on a constant basis. Having trouble sitting up and holding my head up at the moment. Hope I sleep better tonight.

Once again thank you to everyone here who has taken the trouble to message me both here and privately. Every single one is very very much appreciated.

Hope to be more active and able to sit here for longer soon, but now I must get back to bed.

Heard about my funding by phoning the PCT the other week. They said they would send the letter to the doctor and they would contact me to arrange which hospital I want to go to. Can you believe I still haven't heard a thing from the GP what so ever? :confused:. Think I will have to do yet more chasing up on that. At this rate it will be next year before I get a date to even register at the hospital, let alone a date for my op. Alll you lot will be slim and graceful and I'll be the only porker still waiting :cry:. (Said tongue in cheek I hasten to add, not really that down about it, just niggled).

More flippin trapped nerves, more problems with my monthly cycle.....I just want to get this over with and get back to being 'normal' (whatever that is).

Going to give the surgery a ring today and see if I can get them moving.

Thinking of u Gerry, waiting is just a an awful thing in any context in life but try and stay positive. I know you probably think "oh its so easy for the them to say" but it is true and you will get there ....keep your chin up we all support you and your not alone in your thoughts. xx

Had a bit of a wierd day yesterday and despite my eagerness to want to get things moving for this op.....phoning the GP went completely out of my head :confused:

Not feeling so good as TOTM has made an appearance a week early (suits me as at least I won't have it when on holiday in Blackpool next week), and that always makes me very tired and lethargic, which is a bit of a pain as I have some work to get done before we go away, plus all the packing to organise.

Hope I remember to phone Monday.

Not sure exactly Gerry (I went private!) but it just confirms that things are moving in the right direction for you at last!!! YIPPPEEE!! Hope you don't have to wait too long and someone will give you an accurate answer before long xx
