feeling a bit down today

Hi Tray, well done for getting this far and I hope your journey continues smoothly from now on.

I suffer from clinical depression and my mother is bi-polar so I can relate to some of what you've gone through. She wasn't diagnosed until she was 45 years old.

Just a quick thing though, I found it very difficult to read your post with the letters being red.

Not to bad, still in a little discomfort but i am getting there, Thank you.
i have a FB account Wendy Howard if u want to look me up. xx

Its good to know more about you hun. Thanks for sharing.

You're on the right road to your surgery now and I hope that you are given an early date when you see the consultant in May.

Thank you for sharing your diary with us, i was told yesterday that i was being referred for a gastric bypass. i hope i get my appointment soon so i can start the ball rolling.
I'm sorry to hear you have had a hard time in life but my grandmother always told me that whatever happens in our life is meant to be as it shapes us into the people we are today. And i bet that everyone who knows you would say that you are a great person. :)
I look forward to reading the next entry in your diary.

It's always nice to be able to share stories.

Sounds like you've had it tough and, having lived with someone with bi polar, know what it can mean.

It finally looks like you've got it all figured out though and it must be good for you to see a little light at the end of the tunnel.

Congratulations on losing the 9 kilos :)

:)A great start to your diary Tracey:)
Roll on May 20th!

the next chapter, just had a call from L&D and have been told that they want me to see the surgeon on the 11th may instead of the 20th. as they have set my op date for ....... 17th may, im bloody terrified now, i never ever thought i would get a date so soon, but they said as i was set 6 weeks back due to the car crash, and that i done so well on the weight loss, that a slot came up and they thought of me.. is this good? i dont know, it doesnt give me much time to think about things, but on the other hand all the dreaded thoughts of will i make it, or will it go wrong,or will i be the only one its not worked for ... fingers croosed though i will be fine and in a few months time be a bit slimmer and healthier.....

don't worry that they have bought it forward. having a sooner date gives you less time for your mind to wander into all the negative thoughts, stay positive and just look forward to the day that your new happier life starts. :)

So please for you Tracey. I know the dread and fear kicks in, but you've prepared yourself for this and you will get through it.

Good luck x

OMG surgery date already

well had a phone call today from L&D to ask me to come and see the surgeon on the 11th may, instead of 20th may. i said thats fine. only then to be told that they want to operate on me on the 17th may. as there was a slot come up, and due to my crash and it setting me back 6 weeks they felt sorry for me ..lol so now im bloody terrified in case it goes wrong, or i dont make it through, but im sure these feelings are normal,

Brilliant, Im sure there will be some worries about it being so soon but try and remember how much you want this! It will all be over soon and you can start the journey to the new you :D x

Oh Tray,

I bet you were dancing at first and then shaking. Fab news, you will get used to it and the peeps on here will help you make it through.

Oh wow that is so cool and I am thrilled for you, you will be fine and will rock your bypass Im sure.
Steph xx
