I rode with a friend at the weekend who wanted encouragement and support to ride the 'PEdal for Scotland' ride from Glasgow to Edinburgh.
Was a good 48 mile ride, she'd only ever cycled 16 before, but I'm pleased to say she completed it and feels great, if a little sore.
We took nearly 5 hours but 45 minutes of that was stopped for rests. I've told her that next year we should aim for 4 hours. I think I'd be able to do it in 3 1/2.
It's great when I can ride with people that I've encouraged to get on a bike. She hasn't had weight loss surgery but was overweight. Now, she's definitely not. It's also great to receive my first ever medal!
