I feel the same, the one it won't work for. Bet we all fear this.

I've just been searching the apps n found a free weight loss recording one, does anyone use these? Good for a visual stimulus to see it working . It's in lbs tho. Anyone got a better one in stones?

I went with The Hospital Group....they are not the cheapest, but I specifically wanted El-Hasani so paid a bit extra to get him. Worth every penny!!!

Lol don't worry, it's lovely to meet others who were treated at Chelsfield by El-Hasani!! I totally understand the worries of being the "duff" patient!! I've lost 6 stone and still wonder if that's it!! I can't really comprehend being under 20 stone to be honest. I was 30 stone 4lbs at the beginning of my journey. I strongly believe this forum is essential for info, encouragement and support. There really is someone willing to answer any queries any time of the day and you get so much inspiration from reading others diaries. Also, questions are answered that you hadn't even thought of. It's very reassuring to know that you are not on this journey alone. I barely need to contact my team these days!

Thanks Ceecie! Being under 20st?? You will be way less than just under 20st I've already been creating my wish list of clothes on the French connection website and not even had surgery yet lol! Talk about keen! Xx

Has anyone had experience where they can stomach most foods early on ?
I am due to start stage 1 soft foods but feel as though I could try and eat most foods .

Thought it was just me that felt like I would be the one to defy the medical odds and have it not work.. it's such a real fear though but must be compounded from years of failing with diets and weight loss.

I use my fitness pal which is also free and a great tool. It allows you to record weight, goals, fluid intake and food diary that calculates your calories plus record the what excercise you have done and calories burned. It's really fantastic! X

I bet we didn't and I bet I will be paying the most at 10,850 (yikes!) The thing is you could easily spend that (and so much more!) on a car so it doesn't make sense to baulk at it when you spend it on your own health and I'm worth so much more than a car! I'm happy to go direct to the hospital, I know them well and just wanted to cut out any middle people and was happy with their t&c's. I'm sure all other third party providers are the same and tbh it's the surgeon that counts, I just didn't bother looking outside bmi. Xx

Oh wow, I couldn't have afforded that amount! I am with wls group, and I paid 7995, incl 2 years aftercare and seeing their bariatric nurse closer to home

One thing I must say, is;

READ YOUR CONTRACT!!!!

2 years aftercare doesn't always mean SURGICAL aftercare, but just nutritionist and check ups.

I have FULL surgical cover for 2 years if anything goes wrong. Some find they have to rely on the NHS as early as 30 days post-surgery. This can get very confusing for all involved, so read your paperwork so you are clear about your package.

Just rang Shiela again with some questions, she's so adorable. Got my dates wrong, booked in for 16th not 15th Feb as he operates on a sun. Wonder if that's because it's the chefs day off.. Let's face it, as far as hospital stay is concerned were a cheap date on the food front lol!! Xx

The chef at chelsfield makes really nice tomato basil soup post op ;-)

Same for me. No hope on NHS as although I was over 19 stone, I was too well. So they were waiting for me to develop co-morbidites. And I was not happy with that at all! So decided to take matters into my own hands.

I considered Chelsfield as it is a stone's throw from home. But in the end decided on Mr F at St Anthony's in Cheam. He is mega! Could not be happier with my experience. I paid about ten grand plus some other bits related to the hiatus hernia repair and my reflux problem which he sorted out at the same time. As someone said, you'd pay that for a small car. My only regret was not putting it on a credit card to get some Avios points towards a flight to the sun to wear my size 14 beachwear xx

I'm saving my pennies for a boob job/bingo wing reduction so will have to rely on the sunbeds this year!!!
