January 2014 surgeries

Hi Corgi7, I was banded on Sunday at Dolan park, all went well and I was allowed to leave the hospital by 6pm. Was amazed how quickly I could get out of bed and walk around, I had no pain in my shoulders or wind, as others have. Monday morning it all caught up with me and I started to feel very sore and bruised, especially my ribs, I have no appetite at all but I am sure this wont be for long!!.

Today I am feeling more confident, the nurse has telephoned this morning and said I had to drink more and to drink peppermint tea if I experience any gas.

Hope it all goes well tomorrow x
 
JD76 who is doing your surgery at Dolan Park? just to let you know the nurses there are fantastic and will really put you at ease before you go down to surgery, the after care was fantastic too x

Hi Donna... That's fantastic to hear. Thank you for letting me know.... I'm having mine with THG and my surgeon is Mr Sigurdsson. Who did you have?

All the best for a speedy recovery keep me posted on your progress, ok? :)
 
JD76 I had Mr Paul Super, was originally booked in with Mr Sigurdsson but he cancelled two consultations. Have they given you your time to go in yet? do you plan to go home the same day or stay over the night? x
 
Donna44 mine was originally booked with Mr Hasan El Hassan but he is not available. I didn't realise you had the option to go home... As far as I know, I'm staying over night...

Been told to be there for 10 am :)
 
J D and Donna I am right behind you. Op scheduled for 11th at dolan park with Mr halstead. No one has rung me yet from thg how close to op do they leave it? Worried 're pick up as no idea what time to expect.

Mazzarazza, they only called me yesterday to confirm the time...

JD76, if you have been told to be there for 10am, you will probably have an afternoon surgery and they will keep you in overnight and they have to monitor you for five hours afterwards.

Mazzarazza, they will contact you two/four days before hand, they sent me an email and I had to phone them back to get the time. You are both in good hands, they make you feel really relaxed. x

Good luck everyone having their surgery in the next couple of days. Going to stay away from this until after the weekend. Just need to focus on something not related to surgery. I'm so impatient the waiting game for next Wednesday is dragging. Lots of love and looking forward to seeing all the updates soon
 
THG have a special on at the moment if you book you surgery for Jan or Feb... Worth giving them a call :)
