I'm so impatient seems my potassium level is high no idea what this means but they waiting for word from the lab, I'm now in a empty ward as the other 4 ladies have already gone down.

Potassium high can cause kidney problems so it's important they get it sorted as kidney failure is far worse

Hi everyone, was expecting surgery around april and got a letter today saying that i am booked in as an inpatient on jan 24 but no info on when to start LRD or anything about a pre-op. tried calling the hospital but can get any further info on a saturday. Hopefully i'll get more correspondence next week. Really positive about the whole procedure but have been a bit indulgent over xmas cos i thought id have more time to shift what ive put on.

That's me all bypassed thanks for your thoughts went to theatre at 1:30 yesterday afternoon was very groggy for the rest of the day, pain not too bad but of they offered morphine or pain relief I took it. Been up to loo feeling actually ok at the minute

Hi kev I started milk diet 10 days before operation I got phone call for my pre op exam it was on 31/12 mr balpuri operated on me yesterday afternoon, all seems good so far. Good luck

wonderful will look out for all the updates now on the road to thin just remember to rest and not over do things too soon

day 4 definitely is a little easier, I was wondering how i was going to do 2 weeks of the pre op diet but can see if will be ok by the end of it. already lost 7lbs but realise that is mainly water. Dont get me wrong the hunger really hurts at times but my head is getting round it a little better. Bring on 15th Jan

Started day 1 of my 9 day pre op diet today. I can't complain about the diet in the slightest as a get to eat 'proper' food. However i do have an absolute banging headache, which I suspect may be sugar withdrawal because I gave the kids christmas chocolate a fair old scare over the last week or so

14th, pre op is for 7 to 10 days so I have gone with 9 as that fitted in with my last boozy session with our best friends for several months. What pre op are you on?
