July 2014 Surgeries

It sounds like you have a good plan, I wanted to do my masters but because of the cost I couldn't even apply, and now I feel I'm getting to old and stuck in my ways to bother. I work for Birmingham council and will be luck to have a job the way things are going. These problems have become more in my thought than the operation. I think as it gets nearer I will get a bit nervous which is to be expected. I think my children are more worried. It will be great to get your health back I have osteoarthritis and it gets worse every day so I'm hoping the weight loss will give me my mobility back. It takes so long to do anything. I can't have new knees yet because of my age but some relief would be great. Why have you decided to have the bypass (sorry if I have already asked you this) and not the sleeve. I am being advices to have the bypass but I want the sleeve

Wireman have you had your op yet or set you due, I can't keep up with all the bodies lol

Hope everyone's well. How are those coming up to their op coping?

I am 6 days away. Paranoid something will happen between now and then. I've had it cancelled once so worried they will do it again.

Can't believe July came round so quick. Hope all post opers are getting on well x

Hi guys! Good luck to those who's surgery is coming up, and congrats to those who've already had theirs so far this month <3

My surgery is on the 22nd July, so I'm exactly 2 weeks away. Very nervous, but also SUPER excited!

Ah I am glad I'm not the only one. Which hosp did you go to? How you getting on with recovery? X

I'm 9 days away now (biting finger nails lol) & on the soup & yogurt pre op today I had terrible bout of diarrhoea today, I'm sure it's not a bug but the fact that all I've has for a week is the soups & yogurts & a pint of milk. Generally I feel good no hunger pains, I thought that I would be starving but so far so good.

mouse57 My op is in the morning.

I have spent the day out at a large garden centre chilling out watching the wife eat a jacket potato covered in cheese followed by a large cream cake and a hot chocolate smothered in cream. I had a black coffee and a bowl of salad.

I am still very calm about the whole thing.

Good luck wireman for tomorrow and everyone else coming up! xx

I had my pre op this morning. It went ok, just reminded me that it's tomorrow. Eek!

Good luck wireman x
