mouse57 My op is in the morning. I have spent the day out at a large garden centre chilling out watching the wife eat a jacket potato covered in cheese followed by a large cream cake and a hot chocolate smothered in cream. I had a black coffee and a bowl of salad. I am still very calm about the whole thing.

Ooh! Good luck for tomorrow, Wireman! That's some good willpower you've got there!

I'm still looking for someone to 'buddy' so we can support/help/whinge at each other through pre-op and post-op. As I'm not near any 'real life' group it will have to be through social media and IM Completed week 1 of the 700cal/day Slimfast diet. I think counting down the last 14 days helps me cope. It is tough.

I'm post-op RNY, but happy to buddy up. We need all the help and encouragement we can get!

Wow, so many of you this month.

Great news as you will all be in the swing of it by Christmas!!

cool, I'm a bit concerned about getting things right post-op but I'm sure the team will try to 'educate' me on their methods.

Don't worry about it. The team will make sure you have a step by step guide to follow and before you know it it will become second nature to you. Along the way they may 'tweak' things slightly - I was off puree quicker than was in the Derby guidelines on the consultants advice (which was a relief as being a soup/warm liquid hater (except tea and coffee) that was hell!) - but you will have a step by step process to follow.

But it's easy for me to say don't worry about it as I'm 17 months out!
