Thanks jackie. I am trying honest but it's quite hard and its not helped by the fact that on day 3 post op I now weigh 1 kg more than I did on the day of my op? How is this possible and when did you start losing weight? I feel a great deal of discomfort on my insides which comes and goes. When would I be able to resume with every day activities and when did you start feeling normal? Sorry for the rant and I hope you can give me some info from experience as you seem to be doing so well. Xxx

Jay, I was the same but its just the swelling from the surgery. Your body has been through a lot, forget the scales until 7 days then you will have lost. Are you managing to walk around a lot? Honestly don't think I am doing any better, I feel like my stomach contains a number of bricks! Not painful, just uncomfortable. I have the advantage that I do not have small kids at home so can just chill. I have been out every day, even just for a walk around the supermarket, or driven somewhere for a coffee. I think this has helped in just feeling normal. Please don't stress, we are in this together and we will get through and break out our thin bodies! Take care xxx
Wise words here. Hope you both recover well, give it a few weeks expect some blips like 3rd week stalls etc and just have faith in yourselves and the surgery.
Ladies, you are going DOWN
Thank you jackie and weegie. I feel so blessed to be part of this group as it genuinely does feel like we are all going through it together. Thank you ladies xxx
I guess you're both right, it can only get better from here and scales can only go downwards, I've just got to give it time. Hopefully I'll be able to enjoy the sleeve soon and have just got to persevere.
How are you both getting on with your journey? Xxx
We will be the 3 amigo's! All so close together and support in abundance. Cant wiat for you to join us Chrissy although your a restarter so can offer us loads of advice already. I am really tired tonight. I also think I might be eating too much. My info states 2-3 tablespoons of pureed food but not sure what that means, is that level tbsps.or normal tbsps.? This is so confusing. I just need a dietician to come and live with me for a few weeks LOL. Chin up we will solder on! xxx
First thing that came to mind.. The scene in 3 Amigos with the beans .. Farting round the campfire :8855: I spat my tea lol sooo appropriate. Hugs for that hun.
Hi everyone I hope u don't mind me joining your conversation. I had my gastric bypass in the 1st June. Feeling really good but tired, I don't get much rest with a 4yr old and a 10month old lol I'd love a afternoon nap! I'm on sloppy purée stage at the mo (lovely) how you lady's getting on?
Hi Lozer
Lovely for you to join us. You are a day ahead of me, I had my sleeve on 2nd June. I can relate to the tiredness and I don't have young children! I am also on puree and finding it really strange, Can I ask, how much are you eating? Otherwise feeling ok to be honest.
Jackie
xx
I have either a whole actimel yogurt drink, about 3-4 table spoons of porridge (blended) same with cottage pie ect. A whole jelly pot and the other day I ate a whole muller light yogurt. I wasn't really given that much info on leaving hosp so assuming that ok. I stop eating as soon as my tummy start bubbling/burping. I'm just struggling to drink enough. I seem to have a drink stuck to me the whole day. Lol.
You sound like you are doing really well. My stomach bubbles and burps as soon as I start to eat, do you think this means its time to stop? These signs are so confusing aren't they? How is the weight loss going>
I have no idea haha by this point I'm starting to fill full so just stop. Like yesterday when I ate the pot of jelly I think I ate abit to much as felt to full so the next one I will stop 2 mouth fulls before. They r very confusing. I lost a stone on pre op and a stone in the first 4 days and haven't been back on the scales. I'm not to bothered at the mo. just going by clothes sizes. I want it to b a surprise when they weigh me at 6 weeks. Lol I find leaving the 30 min before food and 60 min after food very difficult. How ur weight loss going?
Wow, your weight loss is amazing! I only lost 5 lbs on pre op and then 7lbs since surgery, still happy with this though.
Hi Lozer. Welcome! It's great to have you join us. It's great to see that you're doing well. I can totally sympathise as I have a 4 year old, 2 year old and an 8 month old. I feel really guilty that I can't pick her up and that I can't do the normal things a mum can right now. How are you coping with that?Hi everyone I hope u don't mind me joining your conversation.
