Length of bypass

Have a look at the link I posted. The diagram is there. It is replumbed to the pouch.

Here is a link to quite a nice Google picture: Google Image Result for http://www.adelaidebariatrics.com.au/images/gastric_bypass.jpg

The bypassed stomach & portion of bypassed intestine is attached to a section lower down the intestine; the section where the small intestine was cut is brought up and attached to the little pouch. The stomach & everything else is left in place, so digestive enzymes etc can mix with food, but just much lower down in the intestines xxxx

I was right - they do a bit of french knitting with our insides while we are asleep . . . and all through those tiny holes. Clever surgeons!!;);)

I just wanted to bump this thread back up..
has anyone else asked or been told what the length of there bypass has been since this was last active ????

xx

French knitting... whilst we are asleep... xxx

Mel made me laugh with her reference to 'French Knitting' and it's a question I shall be asking when I see the surgeon... thanks to you lot.... haha....

It's a bit too clever and technical for me to understand... but I'll see if I can find a simple drawing... haha...

Thanks for resurrecting this one Lisa... always worth thinking about ...

Love and hugs xxx:wave_cry:
