Length of bypass

The bypassed stomach & portion of bypassed intestine is attached to a section lower down the intestine; the section where the small intestine was cut is brought up and attached to the little pouch. The stomach & everything else is left in place, so digestive enzymes etc can mix with food, but just much lower down in the intestines xxxx

Its a very clever op isnt it especially as they do it through a few tiny holes Amazing! X

I was right - they do a bit of french knitting with our insides while we are asleep . . . and all through those tiny holes. Clever surgeons!!

Mel made me laugh with her reference to 'French Knitting' and it's a question I shall be asking when I see the surgeon... thanks to you lot.... haha....

It's a bit too clever and technical for me to understand... but I'll see if I can find a simple drawing... haha...
