My Bypass story .... I'm getting married !!!!

Hi Nic, hope you are feeling better soon. i have been much the same and have had to wear 2 pairs of bed socks. the vitamin B12 injections should everyone be having them??? no one has mentioned them to me. take care xx

Hi All

Well I was told I had to have them once every 3 months, I had one the week before my op so was due for the next one. I know on the other forum I'm on a lot of people have them but as always it seems to be down to the surgeons etc, just hoping it gives me a boost.

Oh by the way I've finally added a few pics onto my gallery but not yet the comparison ones, I'll put them on soon I promise, need to scan them in first lol!

xxx

lol cheers matey!! Still a long way to go yet but getting there eh! xxx

I have the same surgeon as Nic so I'm on the same B12 regime. Last time I saw him I questioned it's necessity, and asked if I could have my B12 levels checked beforehand but got short shrift from the surgeon! He says it is important to not let your B12 level get low so having the 3 monthly injections prevents that happening. Low B12 levels can lead to psychosis and spinal cord degeneration, so it's quite serious.

My sister is low on B12 and has been feeling lousy, very tired etc. It took her doctor a long time to diagnose this and she has to have shots to bring it back up. I suppose a jab every three months is a small price to pay for being healthy. Linda x

I'm getting worried now. i've never had the B12 injections and no one has even mentioned them to me. should i be having them???? i'm under Mr Ammori at Manchester Royal infirmary.

Nic you look great, you should be really proud of yourself xx

Hi Nic,
Photos are great! I am feeling the cold something chronic as well - just been out and bought a fleece throw for when I am watching tv and some fluffy slipper boots to keep my poor toes warm! You are not alone in thinking you are living on the North Pole!!

I bought a snuggle for when I sit on the sofa and it gets chilly, its lightly padded and brush cotton and you can wrap it around you, only thing is I cant get near it my cats love it. I was laying down yesterday and decided to pull it over me as I was not feeling too well, before i knew it 4 cats where sat on top of me I ended up roasting lol.....Linda x

Thanks everyone for the lovely comments about my pics!

I too bought a fleecy blanket the other day as poor Col sits her roasting and has ended up taking his t-shirt off every time whilst I'm cold! Good excuse to get him to take his clothes off though eh lol!!

Hope your all having a fab weekend xx

Hi Nic hope your ok not been around for a few days having some work done in house so not been on much. Had a look at your photos you look lovely glad everythings going well with Col. Ive also noticed how much Im feeling the cold may just be that it seems to have turned cold all at once.
Take Care Hunxx

I too have really noticed the cold since my op, always used to be really hot even in winter so a weird change. I usually sit watching tv with two jumpers on, thick trackie bottoms and my bed socks!! And still shiver sometimes!!
