November 2013 Surgeries

great news flick that perseverance pays off eventually congrats keep up the good work

I managed to get an exercise bike for free yesterday! Doesnt have a monitor but 10 mins, 3 times a day should do for now. After yesterdays result I feel good! Guna set myself a target for the Spring Equinox and keep my fingers crossed I get there!

Are you managing food and drink Nicola?

Yes soft food and drink seem to be fine. Just this awful pain in my arm/shoulder and back from that nasty line! :/

It was put in my upper arm to give me feed. It ran 42cms from my arm to just above my heart. I didn't really want it at all but felt coerced. Now it's throbbing and aching, even though was removed Friday.

Oh man :( That does sound painful. No doubt you are bruised on the inside and it'll take a while to heal :( Did they give you any painkillers?

Sorry your picc line site is giving you pain. It did look bigger than normal bit thought that was just the photo. Most people I looked after didn't get much discomfort. One of my best friends has one in right now for 8 weeks until lots changed for her chemo. You really have been unlucky! Keep an eye for any new redness, swelling or it getting hot! Any signs straight to the GP. X

Great news on the bike front Flick! X

It's not the site so much as all up my shoulder, back and my chest below my left boob. Really throbbing ache :/

Keep on with the hot water bottle. If the paracetamol isn't working call the surgery and ask for the GP to call you at the end of surgery. Have a chat and he could prescribe something stronger. Fingers crossed it won't last long Nicola.

Tried the bike today and nope. Not happening whilst my lil one is awake. He would not leave me alone!! Little fingers touching everything and its so dangerous so it'll be a 30 min work out in front of the telly once he's gone to bed. Pain in the bum lol

How are you doing Audra?

Not bad, drove today was ok bit tense in my upper abdomen. Started purée yesterday. Getting a bit of heaviness in the chest but again feeling positive. Sorted the new (second hand) treadmill today so I've got no excuse not to walk! Can't wait for the kids to oh back to school. Luke starts tomorrow, Ems goes back on Tuesday. can't wait for a bit of peace and quiet. They've been really good really just need some peace. Got to get back into a morning routine with the kids and eating so going to get up earlier than I would normally. Sounds like your on a roll! Long may it continue. X

Oh I know that feeling! Kai goes back to nursery on tuesday. Ill miss him whilst im at home on my own though.... but at least I can get on making some more jewellery which has been sat in a box over Christmas waiting for me.

The loss has really made me happy. Im over the 3 stone loss mark now and finally below 20! Has made me want to keep going.

Glad everyone is doing well after our trials and tribulations :)

"I lost weight but lost my husband" on 5* at 7pm tonight.

There's loads of programs on tonight :/

This seems such a common problem, I noticed 1 of the slimming club adverts on TV is a husband saying how he loved his wife before she lost weight but how he's pleased to have the "old" wife back again

They're repeating all the programmes from a few months ago. There were 3 on the other night...

Kirsty

Oh right. I dont usually watch stuff like this. Watching the lost my husband one though as im newly married and abit paranoid lol
