Only 7 days to go :)))

Sounds lovely! I blitzed myself up some cauliflower and mixed it with cottage cheese. Was lovely but I will be glad when I can go onto lumpier foods!

I will feel like I'm back to normal when I'm on lumper foods next week. Going back to work Monday and I'm worrying about what food to take with me.. They also don't know I've had bypass!! Xx

I too can't wait to get to lumper foods, everything blitzed just looks so unappetising, I am back to work next Saturday and am also worried about what to take as I haven't told anyone at work I was having a bypass, just took annual leave. I'm feeling so weak at the moment I hope I feel a bit better before work.

I took annual leave for my op, they know I had hernia repair but not bypass x

Cat - I was the same. Work knew I'd had my Hiatus hernia repaired but no more. Any work in that area requires the LSD so they got used to my soups and Mullers diet for four weeks, and understood that as the repair had tightened the muscle back around my throat that I would need to stretch it again, so lumpier hurried big amounts of food was not possible for many weeks. Now as I eat normally it is not an issue either as they can see how much I've lost in the months on liquids and I say I'm being careful as I don't want to put the weight back on. It seems to have worked for me. Good luck

Well back to work tomorrow and I'm getting a bit nervous now, and got lots of what ifs going round my head and is it to soon etc...I could get used to being a lady of leisure, however I don't think the bank balance would allow it. I'm only going back on light duty's so should be ok. Still worrying about what to take with me, think it will be chicken soup. x

Good luck for tomorrow.. Im sure you will be fine. x

Thanks everyone, scared about going back incase it's too early, but looking forward to getting normality back. Xx

Thank you, it's really reassuring to read this. I was worrying about what to tell them regarding diet and weightloss. Xx

Well it was good to be back at work, knackered now though. Struggled a bit with pain this afternoon. Did manage to keep up with my fluid intake, although struggled with soup at lunch!! Xx

Well done cat! I'm glad to be getting back to my normal routine too. Struggling to get enough fluids though. I had a small but of blended pasta bake for tea. Was lovely and no problem.
I'm worried about being quite dizzy and headachy but bits getting better. Does anyone else struggle to get enough fluids? X

Fee I struggle daily with my fluid intake, decaf coffee is my friend, cold drinks just don't go down well at all. Glad you enjoyed your day at work cat, I'm looking forward to going back Saturday but am worried about how weak and dizzy I still get.

just been to my first check-up at the hospital and she said that everyone who had appointments today struggled to get the fluids down. I just get so full if I have anything to drink.
