Hi. I'm trying to have sips of water through the night but m finding it hard at the moment to fit in the list they have given me on fluid stage. But I guess it's still early days yet. I'm quite an anxious person anyway and I guess my body has gone into shock but m gonna book docs if only for reassurance! Cat I was on ward 311 in Bay 6 if that rings any bells? There was a lady in the bay opposite me to and I walked past her in the corridor and said I had same nighty as her could that of been you?

I felt really well when I left on Saturday, still left sided pain but nothing like this.. I'm still walking too and blowing into my machine, although still cannot get it passed 2000. Who did your op? I had Mr Ahmed and he was lovely.. Hope all goes well at docs today xx

In the past when I have been constipated I do this little trick and it works for me... So every time I sit on the loo for a wee or poo, I do a little exercise. I always did this on my weigh day when I was at a slimming club so that I would weigh lighter on the scales.. so anyway the exercise is:
sit on the loo with your feet firmly planted on the floor. Then lean forward as far as you can then gently lean to your left as far as you go then to the back, then to the right and then the front again. All the time with your bum and feet firmly planted keep going around gently moving so you are doing a circular movement. Your folds of fat are gently massaging your intestines and I usually find I go straight away or at least within a couple of hours.

Well doc said I've got a chest infection, she said there is no air getting into the bottom of my left lung!! I'm on antibiotics, and awaiting a call back from bariatric team

Oh no cat! Poor you, I hope your antibiotics are liquid? Lol I have to say I have a rotten cold and cough as well clearly not as poorly as you though! Are you managing your fluids? I'm really struggling I'm supposed to go to purees tomorrow but am going to delay as I'm having trouble getting nearly enough fluids in my record so far is around 900mls, less than half of what I'm supposed to be having just sipping makes me uncomfortable and stuffed!

Morning,
Antibiotics are liquid and hopefully will start to kick in soon! Consultants wants me at hospital Friday if I haven't started to feel better, so fingers crossed they start working!!
Sorry to hear your not feeling well, coughing really hurts
I'm really struggling with amount of fluids too, am ok with hot fluids but struggling with cold.. I bought sugar free vimto and I'm having it warm.

Well what a 24 hours this has been! Went to docs and she reassured me that palpitations should subside in a few weeks as I suffer from anxiety anyway plus the stress of the operation so was OK with that. Anyway within half hour of getting home I was in excruciating agony on my left side and shoulder I've never felt pain like it. Rang derby and they said either go gp and get referral to go back to them but she said by sounds of it u need to go straight to a and e Wich is Nottingham qmc so went there was in a and e for 6 hours in agony they gave me morphine wich made me think I was gonna pass out. I've been on fluid drips all night first they said I had an inflamed pancreas then they said I didn't then they were worried I've got a leak somewhere so went for a ct scan at midnight. And been moved to 3 different beds in the night and not had anything past my mouth since 8.30 yesterday. Pains has eased off a bit now but still non the wiser as to what's happening :/

Just seen consultant here luckily she worked with Mr Ahmed last yr. She's spoken to him and he wants me back n derby royal so gotta wait for them to transfer me back

Cat hope the antibiotics kick in soon, yes coughing hurts and makes me feel like I'm going to be sick think its causing me more bother than the op lol. Are you still in a lot of pain? I hope it has eased a bit, I don't like vimto.

Bloody hell Fee, hope your ok. I have been having really bad pains in left side and shoulder and doc said its because air is not getting to the bottom off my left lung when I'm breathing. Am on antibiotics. Mr Ahmed has told me if it hasn't eased for tomorrow then I have to go back in.
Really hope you get sorted soon.. Glad they are transferring you back to Derby. Keep us updated on your progress xx

So far so good, the pain seams to be easing a little. Hopefully the antibiotics will work.
Hope your feeling better soon too, we do sound like a sorry bunch!!

Well got transfer to derby last night and had painkillers antibiotics and fluids here too. Seen Mr Ahmed this morning doesn't think it was too serious could be an inflamed diaphragm or an infection. I've got the worst taste in music mouth and my wee stinks! (sorry tmi!)
