It feels at the moment every time I think I am making progress something comes along and swiftly dumps me back on my backside again, not only is it soul destroying but it's just not plain fair. it's a shame that this is all preexisting illnesses ,As I could have Claimed off my works personal medical insurance and it will have been done there and then. At least I have the patience of a saint.
I will keep posting and hope of an early result.

I wished I could have bet on tonight's weight I would have made a packet. I lost 2lb what a surprise I hope this is last week of yo-yo weight, At least it was a loss and I hope to keep it going next week but my body will do what it likes but I will stick the diet but with Christmas come I don't know how long I can keep going.
My body has returned to near normal still
a niggling pain in the back from the kidneys god knows what it will be like if I wasn't on the strong painkillers and its still a long 8 weeks until I see a urologist.

Yes I wish I was as well, but there is a ray of hope the GP is also concerned about the possibility of permanent kidney damage and is pushing the hospital as well as trying to get me in at Southampton general unfortunately it is peak kidney stone time of year as well .

Short report this week no change on the weight. so it seems the swings have finally subsided. as I was not 100% on plan last week, after a rather nice day and night out in London( Richmond upon Thames) with friends with some rather good food and wine.

No weigh-in this week but by my own scales a 1.5 lb loss as of Wednesday and 2 Kg by the weight t management nurse . And on to some better news, I had a phone call about 12:30pm from the hospital they have got a short notice appointment for me Monday to see the urologist about my stuck kidney stone.

thanks for the kind words will post back with the outcome monday evening. I just finished lunch back out in the garden clearing a tidying ready for winter and enjoy what left of this very late indian summer we been having here on the south coast.

Just got back from seeing the urologist i have got an 8 mm stone stuck just after the kidney but he was most worried about the potential kidney damage. He wants me in surgery at the earliest opportunity subject to a CT scan.

I am annoyed and relieved at the same time oh how the wheels of the NHS grind slowly. health wise not to bad considering i have a persistent ache in left hand side of the back and a uncooperative leg ulcer. mentally wise i am stable after some management changes at work basically i now report to one new manger only and a greatly reduced workload.

That combination makes sense, you've known for ages this needs sorting but you've had to wait for them to come to the same conclusion. Work sounds easier than it has been which is great. Hopefully you can get everything fixed one thing at a time now.

And 3lb on but I had semi-planned on that as my weight nurse suggested a take a break for a week to reset the body , after all that's been going on. I made a promise to her that I would get back on track this week so back on the plan this week.

Yes when they want to Nhs can move quickly but I think it is more due to the surgeon knowing how to use the system to his advantage. And at work it is like working for a totally different company.

Short update on my kidney stone problem i have got a CT scan appointment @08:30 the 6th November next Sunday although a bit unusual the time slot is reserved for in hospital patients and emergency's and is the earliest they could fit me in if stone still there then surgery the week after.
