Rake Lane/North Tyneside Update

Thanks Wencho. It could be the difference between bypass & sleeve or I was thinking it could be because I lost so much on the run up to the operation...
At least it isn't going on lol.
Are you going onto Stage 3 today?? I can't wait.
xx

It might be about the intestine and how I can absorb all my cals but bypass can't. So my body hasn't went into starvation mode like your's once your body catches up with what's happened you's will drop big numbers. Where mine will slow down x

You could be right Suzie. I just cannot manage to eat or drink anymore lol.
It's just when I see other peoples losses in the first few weeks I feel like I've failed somehow but I have lost a fair bit already and in bariatric terms I haven't got that much to lose...
Who knows. You must be over the moon tho hun.
xx

I am :) I'm normally a slow looser but the part of the stomach that they take out affects your metabolism and makes it quicker, please don't he disheartened as it's like any time we diet some weeks it's just a pound and then you get a big loss one week. Just think what you will be like in July (which is only round the corner) and all the tiny outfits you'll be able to wear. X

Thanks Suzie hun. Just feeling a little down. Desperate to get exercising, eat some salmon or tuna steaks and get back to work lol.
I'm still really struggling to bend over and I'm still sore. I guess 2 weeks off work was a ridiculous notion and I'll be off 6 weeks more realistically.
Are you managing to get any exercise in yet?
xx

Sorry to hear your still sore, I'm a little bit sore but managing fine. I have been taking the dog out 1-2 times a day. I want to start swimming and jillian micheals 30 day shred but have to wait a few more weeks for that lol. When do you go back to work ? X

To be honest I think I'll look at 6wks so I'm on, "proper food" and hopefully have more energy.
I'd love to take my pooches out but with them both being quite large and hyperactive I'm afraid I'd get hurt.
Is your back feeling any better with the weight coming off hun?
I've been looking into exercise and I'd love to try proper walking, running & cycling more so I'm outdoors and I'm going to try kettlebells for my bingo wings.
xx

That's too much exercise lol, kettle bells look fab and I'm sure they will help bingo wings :) a nice swim or walk will do me hahaha. My back is still hurting it will never go but hopefully when I get to a normal size I will have more good days then bad. Can I ask is anyone getting really dizzy ? it's happening all the time especially when I wake up in the morning I nearly pass out. My blood pressure has always been great so don't no If it's dropping too low. I had to open the back door after my bath as I was going to pass out and felt ruff. X

Got my first appointment at the community weight management programme next Thursday so that's the first of the 12 I need to do. Good times

Yippee! Spoke to rake lane today and got seminar 7 feb I'm so excited

Well nearly 4 weeks post op :) still a little sore but getting better each day, only got one deep bit of glue left on one scar all other nearly healed. Food I'm doing good Iv had 1 scrambled egg for dinner for the past 2 days. It's lovely to have something to chew lol. It's still hard to believe that I get so full of a little amount of food, feeling very stuffed tonight (must remember to stop before that one too much mouthful) not been sick though just very very full :) my weight has only shifted by 1 lb so far this week but official weigh in is wednesday so will update then. But I'm definitely loosing inches which I'm so happy about and went to matlan today and tried on some tops size 18 which fitted great. So definitely a size 18 on top now and 20 on bottom (damn my bum). Going shopping on Wednesday and going to get some melts crackers and houmous to try. Don't no why but Iv been fancying houmous even though Iv never tasted it lol and also sweet chilli chicken in wraps yum yum. I must be craving flavours :) hope everyone is doing good ? X x x
