Rake Lane/North Tyneside Update

I never imagined green leaking would be good lol. Mine look wrong if you know what I mean. I think it's because I'm used to seeing stitches holding me together and the glue doesn't look as stable.
They're bleeding and leaking watery stuff so not too bad I hope.
How are you doing in yourself hun?
xx

Get some dressings and pop them on for a few days to keep them dry and soak up the leak it will help loads. I'm doing well still struggling with eating but then hear that people are only allowed to eat 2 table spoons and I think I have a bit more than that so thinking now I'm eating too much lol. But just going to not worry and listen to my body for when I'm full, how are you doing are you eating a bit better ? X

I'm the same as you. I'm having more than 2 spoons (possibly 5??) as it seems a total waste having 2 spoons of food & nothing to drink for an hour. I'm really battling dehydration and I'm worried I'll get an infection so only eating 2-3 times a day and not 6 or I'd never have any water lol.
Plus the weight isn't moving at all.
Roll on stage 4!!!
xx

Woo hoo minxtress have you sorted out your weight management. If not ask the doc to refer you and that's one box ticked X

No does doc have to refer me to weight management? Do hospital not do that? It's all very confusing x

Your docs do it just make an appointment and ask to be referred to weight management. If your in Newcastle it will be whyweight at molunux centre in byker. I think it only takes a couple of weeks to get appointment through. X

I'm in south shields I hadn't heard of this before so don't think by doctor will have a clue!

Ah that might be different as I dont no what the criteria in south shields is. I would give mr woodcocks secretary a ring and ask if, and then which weight management you have to go through, if any. As they should know. I have my fingers crossed you don't have a weight management on your side of the water as it's a waste of time. Just best if you have to do it get it out of the way and it's done :) x

I'm 99% sure we don't tbh but il ring her Monday and find out.... That's if she hasn't blocked my number by now lol poor bugger I've not stopped ringing her to see if my referral has been received yet. I don't mind doing it I I have to and if it gets me a two closer to the prize if u know what I mean. Thanks

It's Mr Woodcock that insists you attend your PCT's equivalent of the Why Weight course hun. He told us at the seminar that if we hadn't been (irrespective of where we lived) he wouldn't take us any further until he had a letter confirming our successful completion.
I'd give his secretary a ring & ask what South Tyneside's is called & start chasing now. North Tyneside's took months to sort out and there is a waiting list so I'd make sure you're on it ASAP.

Hi minxtress I think it depends on if you have weight management in your area if not you can at least say you have done 12 weeks referral to slimming world. X

So would u recommend asking my doctor or mr woodcocks secretary? Bearing in mind they must both be sick of me by now

I would ring mr woodcock secretary and ask first to get confirmation if you have to do it then which one is in you area. Then make a docs appointment with the info you got so your docs send you to the right place. It should be tier 3 weight management. hehehe not to worry about the secretary being sick of you phoning as I'm sure we have all rang many times lol. X

Is anyone else worried they're not losing weight??
I expected to have a honeymoon period for the first month or so where it's drop off but after my 1st wk the scales have barely budged. This week I think I'll be lucky to have 1lb.
Looking at my slimming world books etc I would have lost weight faster that way. Really feeling down & disappointed that I've gone through this (and still in major pain even now) for no real gain,
xx

Right that's me found out what I need to do for referral for weight management. Hopefully should start that next week

Woo hoo minxtress at least you can get that sorted and do it while you wait. At the day of seminar that's your start weight so any weight loss after that shows your committed.
Hi louise I'm sure it's just your body going into starvation mode try adding a couple of glasses of milk to up your cals and protein if you can manage it. And your body will still be in shock from op, I'm sure it will start to come off soon and fast :) x

I just worry il loose too much before seminar and take my BMI below 40 can you imagine that would be just my luck!
