Slimpip's Sleeve Jan'14

Weigh in day...I've lost 2lbs which takes me to one of my next targets (100lbs lost). I feel pretty good about this :) lol.

I have an annoying rash at the moment (sounds ominous I know), it's hives and comes and goes on the top insides of arms, all around sides of mid back and on my tummy. Any ideas? I haven't changed anything (washing powder/perfume/anything else) so I really am stumped!

Hey Kirsty, do you have gallstones do you think? I prey you never feel the pain I did! I drink plenty so don't think my dizziness can possibly be dehydration! Hmmm, who knows...i'm one medical mystery after another! X

Hey pip it may be a condition I get called keratosis Polaris where your skin produces too much keratin throws up tiny sort of hard spots in a rash u can get a cream from the docs if it's that x x

Congratulations on 100lb lost!! I'm not too far off that too :):) yes, I personally think I have gallstones.. Been told as my mum has had them I'm more prone to get them as well as more prone due to wls.. It's blooming horrible pain :( also that's what I keep getting called.. I've just determined that the dizziness is due to lack of fluids but I could be wrong.. But doctors don't know what to look for and my team are clueless too!' Hope the rash goes soon!! Xx

I had my gallbladder out in July . Feel soooo much better now . Had a gallstone the size of a conker in there that caused me sooooo much pain. Impressed that they take out as a precaution . Saves the agony .
Luton had to doing as I was so complex inside . Perhaps that's why post ur op?

Congrats on the 100 fantastic hope tjey sort your other issues soon

Thanks everyone!! Still waiting to hear back from my surgery team about the blood results/gall bladder and dizziness situation. Just have to see what they say.

I am posting today with a mini crisis. In the grand scheme it's stupid, but at the moment I am struggling a little with my willpower. I really didn't think it would happen so soon (8 months and 1 week) but i've found myself eating sweets, frozen yoghurt and pringles this week and although it's weigh in day tomorrow, I weighed this morning and have stayed the same. So like I said, mini crisis as I know it's not the end of the world but I'm freaking out that past habits are going to haunt me again and I won't be able to reign it in.

I think I need to start exercising. I can't afford the gym and I can't run anymore with my hip the way it is, does anybody have any good recommendations for exercise dvds? X

Depends on what you're looking for. I was doing T25 before getting pregnant and enjoyed it. Not easy, but offers variety which works for me. :)

There are some good phone apps for free you could try

Oooh I have T25 I think! I think Guy has it on his computer. I'll have a think about that.

Dreamer, I find walking really mentally hard. That sounds stupid, but I find walking, with no purpose or destination quite distressing lol. I've never been one to go for a stroll. Urgh, send the men in white jackets.

Well it's weigh day and no surprise it was a big fat zero pounds lost. I'm over it lol. Just need to crack on. Saying that, this afternoon I have put my back out, which is ridiculously painful. Really hope it gets better soon!

I had the call from Shrewsbury hospital today to say that Dr Rink (not my surgeon but the one who has inherited my case as my Surgeon has left) wants to take my gall bladder out himself. I'm on the waiting list! Fab (NOT). Well it is fab but I cannot believe I'm going to need more time off work. It's just nuts! She's also waiting for a couple more of my blood results to come back (it's been 8 days, that's slow right?) and she'll call me back with the results. X

Firstly Pip wd hunni :) its not easy staying on that wagon for such a long time, and too have been straying and as a result fat '0' for weeks LOL i dont take much!!! i to i need to mix it up a bit and have just brought myself the zumba kit so will be mixing it up rather than just walking. Its not easy with all the rain like today..... have not left the house lol Gl with the gallstones ugh no fun :( but needs sorting. x x x xhugs

Thanks Crystal. Kind words as always :) You walk miles and miles, which is enviable!

Well I've had a bit of a melt down today. Went to the doctors this morning and he confirms I have a nasty back spasm. He also told me I really must get the gall bladder out as it won't get better, only worse. So that's it, more surgery is on the way :(

The melt down came around as I think I have realised something today. I think I pinned a lot of hope on the WLS to make me 'better'. I thought by losing such a lot of weight I'd be generally better, my back would get better as it's not under so much strain etc etc.....But that hasn't happened at all, I've been constantly under the physio for my hip, my back is weaker than ever it seems, I've had stomach bugs and now my gall bladder. When will it end? It's really made me feel quite low today, but this tramadol is making me feel really woozy so I think I'm going to lay down for a while!! X

Ooooh... careful with them Trammies! They can be right sinful *******. They make me go mental... as in twisting and pulling out my own hair in clumps while rocking back and forth on the floor terrified someone is coming to get me kind of mental. Me not allowed to play with Trammies anymore. lol

Hope they help your back spasm though! I trapped my siatica once and man the pain was horrid... student doc told me to rest for a few days. Went to my normal doc a few days later 'cause it had gotten worse and they said the worst thing I could have done was to not move, as then it stays trapped and never has a chance of coming out. *doh!* Thankfully hasn't happened again, but I do get wicked leg cramps/spasms now. Restless leg syndrome sucks too. FEEL BETTER SOON!! :)

Thanks Jen. I'm feeling a bit brighter today. Don't worry the tramadol doesn't have that effect on me! Just feels like a weaker version of morphine. My back still bloody hurts mind you. So for me, today is pj's and tramadols baby!! Whoooop x

Weigh in day, -3lbs. THAT'S MORE LIKE IT!!!! Can't write a long post as need to get off to work but I'm really happy with that. BMi is 30.1, sooooo close to merely being overweight, who knew I'd find that so thrilling lol xxx

Woohoo! That's awesome! :) Well done!

Fab loss slim keep up the excellent work and that 30 will be gone before u know it
