magicbeans

no longer obese!!
...not been overly good last few days, i wouldnt say bad ...just not good...had some ice cream and i wana go back for more...the whole 'sod it u arent doing well so enjoy urself' thing has kicked in! boooo....

tell me some inspiring stuff to stop me shovelling liquid fat into my mouth!

OK stop now and make some sugar free jelly for tomorrow xxxx
You can't undo it anyway...you can also just see it as a little bump to speed your metabolism and crack on tomorrow without dwelling on it.....and don't buy the ice cream flavour you like (if it's for the kids) or better still, get them a couple boxes of those jubbly triangle lollies (my kids love them) for their icy treat and don't buy any more ice cream at all. I had to stop having it in because I can't trust myself around it at all xxxx

ben and jerrys was on sale at tesco. instead i bought diddy tubs of wispa as a treat...but i want them all now!

ok its just a blip...lets not throw it all away!thanks x

I feel for you, I know what its like to get the munchies and not be able to stop knowing that the fridge or freezer is hoarding something you would kill for.
Try doing something else, make yourself a nice stew for tomorrow or make something you CAN eat and freeze it.
Hard work some days isnt it?

Get some mini milks in or the frozen mineral water ice pops from asda, freeze some baby fromage frais or yoghurts stick a lolly stick in and you have a 'safe'lolly to slurp! When they are empty re do them with nas squash.

muchas gracias all. i took my bottle of volvic and have managed to stay away .... darn i am useless!

Oh MB, im just as bad.....i cant wait for my 1st fill.
I kept away from bread for many weeks, but when i tried it, it went down fine and ive had it almost every day since!
Easier said than done when it comes to your weakness.

At least im not consuming anywhere the amount i used to and weight it coming off (inches rather than weight) so im happy at present.

You too have had great weekly weight losses, this part between op and 1st fill is a nightmare.
Im praying to god that when i get my fill, i cant tolerate bread or crisps!

In terms of icecream, i used to buy the walls low fat stuff when i was on weight watchers and a good sized scoop was only 1.5 points....i had that with sf jelly and it hit the spot and it looked lots.

Tam im rubbish...stupidly i brought junk in the house thinking..oh im so good now as im not hungry so i wont eat it....WRONG!.....old habits die hard and snacking and picking is back....like oh one jaffa cake here and there etc. need to remind myself how good it is to see the scales going down.....such hard work this band malarky but i know its gonna work for me if i try put in at least half the effort i put in when normal dieting.

id say im about 1200-1500kcal a day....well that was yesterday... when i compare my intake to others im shocked....im an eating machine! haha...

we will get there :D

Well done on staying away from the freezer, I love all the 'slider' foods -icecream, biscuits, cakes, crisps, etc so I've had to stop buying them, if we have them in I can't settle until I've eaten them all. I've even told hubby that if he fancies a treat he has to hide them from me.

A word of warning, you probably will be able to eat the above foods after your fill they break down easily and slide down, I was warned about it by my consultant and found it to be true :(

On a more positive note, Carte Dior does a reduced fat vanilla icecream that is simply devine xx

Looks good to me Karenx
Stop worrying Magic...but maybe put a little note up in the kitchen/on the freezer......

Which one do I want to do this week?
a) eat the icecream and risk a gain or staying the same
b) Have something healthier and have the best chance of losing some more

There are always going to be seemingly fab deals on half price ice cream and treats...be honest though, who are they normally for and why are you letting the supermarket make a profit on helping you stay overweight and fed up?

aww thanks for the support girlies! love y'all!

sarah im exactly the same. i get hubby to hide anything he has in the garage as im scared of spiders and i wont venture in there. saying that if i know something lush is in the garage i do a mad sprint and get it....grrr im useless...told him to hide stuff in his car!

u're right neen....if i wana see a change i gotta make the effort...tesco have made enough from me!!

thanks karen.... should get that tatooed!

lol. I wont go in the shed because of the Aragog sized spiders! That would be an excellent place to hide things from me!

Magic it's so hard for banders without having the fear of dumping... If you really really want an ice cream then go for a good 4 mile walk before eating it... If you want it bad enough to walk four miles then at least burn it off :)

Alternatively, solero's are only about 99 calories and sooooo yummy xxx

And remember, you can do this, you will do this, cos inside is some really skinny bird waiting to bust out and shout ''surprise'' xxx

I think it would be unrealistic to say we'd never eat something 'naughty' again....at least thats what I told my dietician! But what I'm hoping for after getting my band is that it wouldn't decline into a full blown binge ie Dominos and fish and chip and curry blow out week! You'll always have the band to constantly remind you that your old eating habits must be a thing of the past. I may be talking rubbish because I haven't got one yet but thats what I'm hoping for :) x

Because I can't be trusted around chocolate and other yummy stuff my fella bought a lock up heavy duty storage container that he keeps his goodies in. It is there in the bottom of the wardrobe and because I know it is locked it never bothers me. If it wasn't locked the contents would be shouting my name all day long and all through the night.
I am very weak willed and lilly livered if chocolate (only cadburys) is around.

Magic what about making up some weightwatchers angel delights with skimmed milk putting it in lolly moulds and freezing it gives you the creamyness of an icecream without the naughtiness of them. Or as Big and bouncy suggested try some fruit juice ones or the Skinny cow ones. I even picked up some weightwatchers icecream stick ones icecream inside chocolate coated that are 3 points each so not so naughty although mini size you get the fix without the bad bits or quite so much.
But try not to be so hard on yourself, don't let one slip ruin your new chance to be slim. I must admit though that I have chosen to have a bypass so I can't slip without physical side effects while I work on the mind set into the new permanent eating plan.
Good luck to you in the long term.
