Gosh so much has happened since the last time I posted on here!!! Had such a busy weekend (reserved our jack russell puppy!! and decorated our dining room so we can move back into it before pup arrives (wooden floors, easier to wipe up accidents!), haven't had time to write, just read quickly between jobs!

Hello to all the new people!! You will find everyone here very knowledgeable and helpful, so post away all your questions and concerns. And tell us all about your appointments when you have them, we love to hear everything!

Hope that Janey's op went well - do we know if anyone can post an update for her?

Vicky - any news yet on your MBE?

I think its £4.60 for a single Angela. You working all day tomorrow?

Alexa, I think its normally £4.60 a single or £40 for a course of 10.

Not sure Alexa... I just think any help with toning is a bonus. Obviously Im not losing weight yet, but when I do im terrified of ending up a saggy wrinkly mess. I just want to try and get a bit of a head start.

Dee has been going on the toning beds although not the ones at KS and she looks amazing.

Hi everyone - thanks for all your posts earlier. They put my mind at rest, (a bit lol!).
I did see Dr Hartland as predicted by the forum and he was very nice and very informative.
In the end we opted for the gastric bypass (RNY)and I'm shocked to hear myself say that I'm fine with it as I thought that I'd choose the banding for sure!
I should get my 1st pre-op through the post for May time and the whole process should take 5 to 6 months altogether which will be July/August so no holiday for me! But hey ho.

It will be worth it to have the new me on the beach next time so that can't be bad.

Martin (my hubby), is being very supportive & I love him to bits for it.
I'm not sure how the kids will be though? I have talked to them about it but I'm not sure they totally grasp it even though they are old enough to, (17, 18 and 21!).I'll have a better talk to them nearer the time (if I get the funding).

Anyway, that's my first hurdle over!

Next hurdle - 1st pre-op. Can't wait for the postie to come!

Wow! I can't believe it?
Mandy xx

Hi Mandy great news the appointment went well.. First hurdle over and done with xxx

great news mandy i'm sure the time will soon fly by.

Just to say that i'm in for elbow op this am so prob wont be able post for awhile as aneathetic (sorry if wrong) really knocks me about.
Also saw the ortho cons yesterday about knee, OMG he says that I can have it replaced if I do get banded/bypass and have started to lose weight so in about 12/18ths I might be able to walk again properly!!!!
Just done another load of washing and finished another big basket full ironing, dont know where it all comes from as they only 3 of us. Well going to try and relax and get back to sleep as BP sky high at pre-op yesterday must be because had app beforehand and had to rush, then they wanted to weigh me, only just had it done in fat clinic. Pain really bad as well but when saw ortho he suggested some patches as tabs not working hope something going to work.
sorry going on think must be bit anxious well good night catch you soon

Your pre-ops or 'MBE' (Magic Brown Envelope as we call it on this thread) will appear when your funding is confirmed.

Well done on the first hurdle!
