Thank you every one for you're warm welcome.

Alexa, this is not a formal meeting just a group of friends who have met on minimins getting together for a coffee and a natter but given your experience I can understand if you dont feel like it.

If you have read through this thread you will see that we are a friendly bunch all at different stages with the procedures at The Manor.

Coffee and a natter? Yeah, but you have failed to mention going out on the lash for Terri's birthday on the evening? Mooooohahahahahahahahaaaaaaaarrrr!

Sorry, ahem, yes we are a very sensible & friendly bunch here.

:cry:I feel a bit of a fraud being in the Walsall Posse - sure I'm going to be having my surgery at Walsall Manor, but I just can't easily join your socialisations and I feel all left out!!! Woe is me! *sniff sniff*:wave_cry: Don't think there is one other person in the town I live in who has had or waiting to have the surgery, maybe I should put an ad in our local paper "Wanted: fat friend to go through traumatic surgery with, to help avoid the dreaded carbs, and generally be a wicked person with"!!! :D

oh dear... looks like the b44 asylum has had a break out again

I have posted a couple of pix on my profile of my scar 1 week post op and 5 weeks post op Incase anyone wants a look at Miss Heitmanns work

lol lorna -wonder how many replies you would get to the ad.

I do know what you mean though. I count myself incredibly lucky that I have made two wonderful friends in Terri and Angela who are right on my doorstep.

You are certainly not a fraud though. Anyone who is having surgery at Walsall is a welcome member of our gang and it is very useful for us all to share our stories and experiences.

Do you think you will be able to make the Bham meet up on 28th?

THanks for sharing Teen. Looks like you are healing nicely. How long would you say the scar is from top to bottom (if you dont mind me asking)

Teen - can I ask if you knew beforehand that Miss Heitman was doing your op? I mean do her and Mr Khan have seperate waiting lists or whatever.

I believe they do have their own waiting lists - Vicky (craftygirl) was on Miss Heitmann's list and has now been put onto Mr Khan's a couple of weeks' later, because of Miss H having to cover other surgery, so they must be separate surely? I think Miss H only does open as well.
