Sam I really hope you get your answers soon, cuz I know the waiting and not knowing anything is a killer. I will be glad when everyone is post op so we can all get on with our lives and stop wishing and fretting them away. Big hugs to you all. I'm sorry I'm not much support to anyone at the moment, i'm to wrapped up in my own misery.....called hunger! It's like giving up smoking, I have no concentration, patience or anything.

Have you got your hospital bag and everything ready yet? Has your hubby had to book time off work etc and have you managed to sort out childcare etc for the little un.
It takes a lot of organising doesnt it for a couple of days in hospital.

Allie which pre-op diet are you doing?
I have to say i have had a miserable day today, i phoned Karonica at WM to see if i could bring my op forward, i have to say she is the most aggitating woman on the planet, and felt like screaming its your fault you stupid woman you put me on the wrong list! I didnt i phoned PALS instead, and then got the run-around again. GGGGGGGGGGrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
I just want to sleep away feb and March, wake me when i get to April.
I am now worrying they will cancel me again...is it really worth all this stress...well it better be LOL. xx

aww Vicky, I know where you are coming from hun. Ive been feeling really crap about everything today as well hun.
:hug99: have this hug to keep you going. Ive just been for a lovely long soak in a hot bath and feel a bit more relaxed now. Ive been waiting for another important phone call today as well which didnt happen so I was stressed about that. But Neil said, you can either let it spoil your evening, or you can forget about it till morning and then start chasing again.

no vicky, not really. Tracey Lowe still not had anything through from Dr Hartland for me so my funding hasnt been sent off yet. She did send an email to Dr Hartland to chase up, but Im still not convinced that Im not going to have to have this extra appointment that Rachael and Sue seem to have received.
I left a message for Ana to call back as well but she didn't so I will ring Dr Hartland tomorrow and see if I can get any sense from that end.
I'm also waiting to hear if I have made it through to final stage of selection process for a job I really want. Was told to expect a phone call today or tomorrow. The call didnt come today so I am praying that i hear from them tomorrow. If not its back to the job searching

Thanks Vicky. I know I havent been waiting that long, but its the not knowing what is happening that is the worst bit, and the fact that the admin is so shocking at Walsall that I dont want to just leave it all to chance and fall through a hole in the system!

I do too. I just haven't got the patience at the moment. I did one when I was doing LL. It was very helpful. I re-read it the other day and it really gave me an excellent insight into what makes me tick WRT food. I might print it off and take to my psyche appointment. lol!

Have you tried contacting Ana on Ward 11? she is there most morning with the inpatients? I phoned the ward once for something and she actually answered the phone...
I must say she is not the best at getting things sone not in my experience.
Sam I can't see you having much luck until that application has been sent off. The team get together I think every two weeks and discuss patients cases they may not have even discussed you yet! Until that meeting they wont send your funding application off. I know what you mean about the not knowing but you are very very early days. I would honestly be patient a few more weeks because you may need the team on side once that funding is in place to secure a early date i wouldn't wish to risk irritating them just now.
Vicky I am so sorry Karonica was such a cow to you, Keep your fingers crossed for a cancellation.. Have you tried speaking to Tracey? She was the lady who got me my date? though I know she deals with funding.
I have spoken to PALS before found them useless to say the least, We really have to be our own administrator in all this the Manor has some good points I can honestly say I know your frustrated with waiting but seriously your being seen a lot faster than other WLS people around the country. The ward staff are fantastic and friendly and none judgmental and very knowledgeable about bariatric surgery. Sadly what lets the Manor down is they only have one Mr Heartland one Ana and one Georgia.. I really thinks with all the patents and referrals they get they should expand the team a little.. Also as we all know admin leaves a lot to be desired!
Please all try and stay positive don't let this bring you down and leave you feeling negative. You need to keep a positive attitude for whet you are about to experience.
