Yeah... It's healed lovely but still quite swollen... Was very solid but getting softer and swelling is reducing now.

I know what you mean think it was 3weeks before I put my tit sling back on and then I couldnt wait get it off

Thankyou for such a warm welcome. i am from Oldbury near dudley and i first aproached my doctor back in April last Year. I had my first assesment in August with Dr Khan, Dr heartland and the dietician. I had my first pre=op on 22 december and my 2nd pre-op in January with dr yoseph. I feel like i have been waiting forever, am so glad it is here but i am scared to death.

Burger me, wait 'til WL8S reads that!

OH MY GOD

Im severely traumatised now.... seriously ladies? Have you had to go weeks without your over the shoulder boulder holders on??

Im not sure my poor back could take the strain...

TERRI

Dont laugh... seriously I am traumatised

Um, can't the OH lend a hand.. or two?

No seriously, I am thinking of improvising with a longth length of muslin grecian stylee. I hate the ought of being bra-less. The chafing.... ugh!

don't give him any idea's red. He doesnt take much encouraging at the best of times lmao

I really dont think I could manage for weeks with no bra. I will have to buy one thats a band size bigger I think, perhaps an unwired one. Sod the expense, Im more concerned with the hump I'll have on my back after 3 weeks bra-less!

Its true sam its really uncomfy I didnt try a bra with out wire dont no if that would be better If you had seen me when I left the hospital I looked like I had been sleeping on a park bench no underwear my pj's still on and a cardi. Had to put my shoes on cause it was snowing

So, it's been a relatively long journey compared to some of us at WM.

You have come to the right place Janey. There are some lovely people all over this forum, not just on this thread. They are more than happy to listen to your fears, rants, happy days, sad days. There's always someone who will come along to help or at least try!

We are meeting in Birmingham for an informal WLS social next Saturday. Fancy coming along? The details are on the Birmingham WLS Meet thread in the sticky threads section.

Lol! I bet you looked more like Kathy Burke's Waynetta than Allie! :8855:

Hi everyone this is my first time on here am due for my gastric bypass on the 8th March. my first visit to wal back in August last :Dear.

HI Janey,

So sorry I missed this earlier. Welcome to the madhouse!

Not long to wait now then till your op date, although it seems to have taken quite a long time for you to get this far.

Lovely to meet you. Get stuck in and get to know everyone. We're a crazy bunch but quite friendly really. xx

Alexa - I'm in North Staffs as opposed to South. I will be waiting a bit to see what happens with the first appeal and then look at a course of action, which will include (not an exhaustive list!) contacting the PCT and asking for a copy of my file, contacting my GP for a copy and contacting the hospital; fine-honing my letter, taking out some of the rather dull, repetitive stuff, and making it less emotional, more factual, and with a final summing-up worthy of a Hollywood blockbuster!!!

One needs a plan and a back-up plan. Not sure of the back-up plan yet but I'll get working on it!!

I can't tell you how much better I feel in myself NOT getting het up and wailing woe is me like I normally would. ALOT of this is down to being able to talk to people on here, realise that people in other areas are under PCTs which are much worse than mine and yours, and may have been waiting/still have to wait years.

So hallelujah and a huge cheers to Walsall Manor and Khan's 'babes'!!!

you all sound lovely. Yes it has been a long journey which we all have to go on, still i'm there now but have got to admit am scared to death now its here. Did anybody feel the same?

Hey Sam, I'm sure as Janey become more familiar with us she will understand why you were so engrossed and mortified by the prospect of being bra-less for a while post-op and forgive you ;)

Your bangers are stuff of legends, mate! :8855:
