Weigh In at the Bander's Cafe!

Happy bank holiday Monday folks x x

Just got home and had a lovely chicken, veg and lentil casserole.

Looking forward to skyr and choc shot later (my new non guilty pleasure!).

I didn't do as well on my bike. It really hurt my knees to ride but I'm not giving up...I'll try again in a month or so!

Our mini hol was fab. We walked 4 plus miles each day and my 7 year old girl cycled them! So good exercise all round.

Now back to reality...school uniform ready for both of us lol! Homework and dance class for my girl...it's rock n roll tonight I do wish they let the mum's join in too!!

Much love and sunny, positive vibes on this rainy day!!

Havnt even got my bike out of the shed yet .. My knees have been bad this last week . A new pain is in my right knee and it's like a ping , like being pinger by an elastic band right inside behind the kneecap .. So I've been extremely grumpy ..
The other knee is just a grating grind .. So I know I'm not going to be able to get my knees to do a full circuit to get the pedals round yet ..
Went to the car boot this morning looking for plants .. I've been amazed how much cheaper car boot plants are ! Large foxgloves £1 each ! These are at least £6 in the garden centres .. Nearly time for hanging baskets also , so will be on the look out for those in the next couple of weeks .. Saves me a lot of money as I do about 10 baskets and then 6 chimney pots and several planters ..
There's a little small holding near us that's sells chicken , geese , and duck eggs .. So I have bought a whole tray today and p,an to make some yummy omelettes for the freezer . But tonight I am having spiral courgette , lightly fried in coconut oil , topped with 2 poached free range eggs .. If you have somewhere near you that sells eggs straight out of the chickens bum then buy them .. They taste so much better than shop bought eggs .. If you've never eaten a duck egg then again treat yourself .. I'm not keen on goose eggs as they are so rich , but they make the most amazing moist cakes ..

Weigh in time tomorrow ! I would be please with 3lbs I think . A steady 3lb a week would perfect ! So hearts hoping ladies !

Blossom , your dinner sounds yummy , got the recipe ?

Hugs to you all !
Mindy

Hi Mindy,

Flipping knees eh...I do remember last time I lost 6.5 stone my knees did get worse for a while. Apparently this is common...maybe the body adjusting? The knee surgeon I saw said I need to build up the muscle around my knee. He recommended cycling but I think I'm going to build up by walking, swimming and then hopefully cycling.

Never thought about plants from the car boot. I've just bought the most stunning red Robin...it's bright pink in colour and called Louise.

We have chickens at work but I'm never lucky enough to win the egg raffle...but I will keep trying!!

I really think for us now the quality food really counts as we are so limited in portion size...your recipes sound fab...and your restaurant experience yesterday has made me want to plan for my birthday. I'd really like to do tapas or al a carte.

I'm sorry no recipe. It's a ready meal from HW. They're portion controlled and have absolutely no rubbish in them...vacume packed to keep in all the vitamins and they're delish!! I think I might actually buy some in when I'm on normal food just to keep me on the straight and narrow!!!

Enjoy your courgettI...I like it dry fried with a little balsamic...nom nom nom!!

You could also do spinach and eggs in a ramekin in the oven with lots of black pepper...that might have to be tomorrow's tea!

Love the photo attached. At home I eat with a cake fork. It really helps me...but not in public!!

Good luck tomorrow lovely lady x x x

Love the photo to !
The cat made me nap :)
Woke up hungry though so I cooked off some mushrooms in coconut oil and a little garlic , then threw in the spiral courgette and let that cook , defrosted some cheesy mash and then dry fried 2 of the free range eggs . Now I am stuffed but all of it was healthy and high in protein :)
I'm really wanting to try the half an avocado baked in the oven with an egg in the middle .. That rings my bells !

Hi all,

Hope you all had a fab long weekend. My family day went really well and was lovely to see my nieces and nephews, went out for a great meal on Saturday evening and even had a sliver of cake which was naughty but nice after so long!

Had a lazy Sunday and have been out most of the afternoon playing basketball with the hubs and kids! It was on my daughters bday list and I didn't think it would be much used but now we have it all set up the kids (and us) are loving it! Haven't manage to get to the gym so was great to have a run around.

After much number crunching and to-ing and fro-ing we've paid off the balance for our holiday in July. It has been my target since having the surgery and I was really disappointed with the thought of not going so Im back on my positive wagon gearing up to get my arse in the gym at least 3 times this week.

I had a phone call from the dietician on Friday and we agreed that I don't need a fill booking in as I seem to be ok with the 4.5ml for the moment. Need you girls to gee me along. I can't tell you how much the support from you all and logging on knowing that one of you fabulous ones will have posted, keeps me going :)

Love coconut oil too...I use it for cooking and my skin, hair conditioner and I mix it up with coarse sea salt...makes a great body scrub!

Morning all...

At last the stubborn scale number has moved!!

Just over 3 weeks out and I've lost exactly two stone...

Chuffed!!

Have a great weekend all X X X x

Well done blossom that's immense! Xx

Have a great weekend all x x x x x

You're never too old for a wand and wings crystal :p

Hellloooo everyone! Sorry haven't been on here for a couple of days, been having a bit of a hectic time and to be honest my eating hasn't been the best either which makes me feel sad and ashamed. I know we all have ups and downs, I haven't put any weight on, or been eating really badly, but I just havent been focused because I had so much to do! Anyway, I went food shopping last night so now I'm back in the zone! My boyfriend is being sent away to work from mon-fri next week, then we are off to a hotel near stansted on saturday night and off to portugal on the sunday so I REAAALLLLY want to get my eating straight this week! My students have a huge deadline on the 7th so i'll be at college everyday helping them with one on ones (bloody needy so and sos :p). Sorry for the down post but was just so on track and then life got the better of me for a few days! Made me smile reading through these posts and so so glad Blossom that you are doing so well, and Neticak, nice pictures! you look much happier and slimmer already!

Crystal your jewellery is really lovely.. do you sell it online? I havent done much today, me and my bf watched Chicago which was nice.

Mindy, your post really struck a chord with me. I was never that big but at around 23 stone I really couldn't imagine that anyone found me attractive, even when they generally did and that too lead me to putting up with a lot of crap which I would never put up with now! It was my own mum who suggested and then paid for me to get the band and I have to say at first I was so offended because I was seriously in denial, then I spent days and nights on here and I can never thank her enough for suggesting and paying for it for me, I will always be grateful. I often sit down and just think about how much I would weigh now if I hadnt got my band and how many years i must have put back on to my life by my weightloss. I think your daughter sounds very lucky to have you, just think of all the support and advice you will be able to give her when she starts her own weightloss!

Sounds weird but I really missed coming on here. It was literally like two days ago but I think this forum is really helpful in maintaining normality when youre on a weightoss mission!

Hope youre all well :D

Morning ladies,

Up at the crack of dawn this morning to drop my darling son off at school at 6.45!!! for a trip to Hadrians Wall. Came home had me brekkie of scrambled eggs and a 1/4 of a 1/2 (sorry I don't know what fraction that would be!) of an avacado with grated light cheese yum yum. Got some washing in and tidied up before dropping the little madam off at school. Now at the office and feels as though I've been awake for yonkeys! amazing how getting up an hour earlier can brighten your day, that and this glorious sunshine. Haven't managed to turn the heating off like you yet Crystal, I'm practically sat on top of the secret heater under my desk! :)

Completely slipped my mind to weigh myself this morning so I will have to do it this evening, Bank Holidays always throw me. I have a feeling its not much this week though.

Hope you all are having a fab day xox

Hi Ladies and thanks for the kind words, I did have a nice weekend but have been feeling rather disappointed in myself! Its so weird how you can go from being so focused to just being bleh!! Anyway, I did weigh myself today and I have put on 2lbs so now at 16.7 :'( still have lost 9 lbs in the last three weeks but feel annoyed that I allowed myself to have a couple of naughty meals with no exercise whatsoever! I got back on it today, my boyfriend is away working in Sunderland and I really miss him already (pathetic lol he only left today :p ) anyway, I am using it as a good excuse to have a really strict week as I am away for a week in portugal from Sunday and I want to be able to enjoy some nice food when I go so really want to have a good week this week!

Crystal well done on your -6lbs, really am so chuffed for you! :D hope everyone else is doing well, and sorry to hear about your daughter's cat Minny :(

I'm so glad I have you guys to inspire me! Bring on the next week!

Lu xx

Well crystal ! Arnt you the svelt one ! I'm so pleased for you ! 6lbs ! Good god woman that's awesome ! I sending you a big huge gold star for that !

Lu , I'm sure you havnt really put that amount on Hun , it could be your liver storing ? I bet that will be gone by the end of the week .. Now we all know what the bloody liver is capable of don't we !

Me . I lost another 2lb :). .. Making a total of 34lbs in a total of 6 weeks , which is an average of 5.5lbs weekly ..

I admit I am beginning to get appetite back and boredom eating is creeping in inch by inch , so I'm really going to have to watch that .. I havnt hugely cheated , just that small sticky toffee pudding on Sunday ..
I need my band filled , I'm ready for it .. But probably another 2 weeks yet .. So I have to keep focused ..

Bowl of porridge with added banana , then a small piece of sausage lasagne and half a tin of baked beans ( Mary Berry lasagne , you have to try it )
A big tesco shop of healthy food today saw me buy 3 packets of reduced mince turkey leg meat .
Browned that off , huge bag of spinach added , large tub of fromage fraiche , 2 veg stock pots and a chicken one , garlic and a can of coconut milk .. Threw it all in the slow cooker for a few hours .. So a tiny portion of that also as a taster .. Not bad , but will be better tomorrow after sitting all night :)

Hey all,

So pleased for you Crystal and Lu no looking behind now just keep moving forwards...you can do this lovely lady!

Can I talk restriction? Needing some advice...is it possible that I have restriction without having a band fill. I'm 4 weeks out this Thursday and still not eating a great deal and not feeling hungry. Don't get me wrong I have head hunger. But not physical hunger. A typical day is a shake for brekkie, soup at lunch and 4 tablespoons of mush for tea.

Do we have a block of the hunger hormone with the band? Or is it the placebo effect maybe?

Just needing advice as before surgery I always hungry and ate more than I would be comfortable to share on here x x x

Any thoughts?

Have a lovely rest of the week all and keep powering forward x x x
