What did you eat today SLEEVIES?

Hi Tracey, sorry to barge in on this trail, but I see from your signature that you had a very quick process from funding to op. Which PCT are you? Any tips for speeding the long process up?

ice chips, hot nas ribena, mini milk lollies, milk, bovril, oxo, innocent smoothes with added milk, hope that helped xxx
 
Thanks :0) I will try some of the ice lollies and mini milks. I've gone off tea and coffee to :0( I make a cup and only have a few sips xx
 
Yesterday,

2 small yoghurts for breakfast,
bowl of oxtail soup for lunch,
1/4 slice of gammon ham for snack, (chewed until it was like sawdust)
6 tablespoons of bolognese sauce, 2 tablespoons of penne pasta, chewed every mouthful 30x.
( Not sure how i really got on to be honest with soft food, had weird little pains bout 15 mins after i had eaten it. I never threw it up which is a good sign)
 
Breakfast. 1/2 weetabix
Snack. 1/4pot muller light yogurt
Lunch. Chicken soup homemade 1/4 small cup
Dinner turkey mince and veg 5tablespoons runny
Milky coffee made with marvel

700mls NAS

Weight lost since surgery 16lbs plus 16lbs pre op total lost 32lbs
 
Yesterdays feast lol,

Breakfast Bottle of slimfast milkshake.
Snack Apricot yoghurt,
Lunch 3 tablespoons of baked Beans (squashed not pureed)
Dinner 6 tablespoons of spaghetti bolognese (chewed 30+ times
Drink 1 coffee, 1 cup of t. 2 litres of NAS
 
Yesterdays food

Breakfast 2 small eggs scrambled ( 2 eggs was too much)
lunch 3 tablespoons of cottage pie (yum yum)
Dinner 3 table spoons of cottage pie and 4 potato crunchies
Snack bubble and squeak round with garlic and chilli dip
Drink 1.5 litres of NAS Ribena light, cup of options cherry chocolate, cup of coffee.powerade zero.
 
I'm really struggling with food and fluids :( does this sound ok for 2 weeks post op.
Breakfast half a weetabix
Lunch half a yoghurt
Tea mash potato with cod blended. 4 tablespoons.
I've only managed 1 milky coffee and 330ml of pure orange juice. Then maybe 100ml of nas squash xx
 
B- 1/2weetabix
S- 1/2pot muller light
L- cottage pie 5tablespoons
S- milky coffee
D -150ml home made chicken soup

1 and 1/2 ltr NAS

17days post op
 
Breakfast: 15g or so of muesli with semi skimmed milk.
1/2 litre of tea with lemon and ginger.

Lunch: Bowl of home-made broccoli soup with grated cheese. Didn't finish it. One and a half Ryvitas with cheese spread.

Tea as above, half a litre. (I have VERY big mugs; my kids call them "Mum's vases"!!)

Snack late afternoon: 3 chicken gizzards that I'd cooked in soup, with a soft cooked carrot.

Supper: (out with hubby at kosher chinese): One small lamb spare rib. (it was not as nice as usual, very tough and chewy, gave me IF). A spoonful of hubby's noodles. Walked to restaurant and back 15 minutes each way, was in pain all the way back.

Another half litre of tea as above.

Snack: handful of raw cashews and pecans, a few raisins.

Lunch 3 tablespoons of cheesy mash
Dinner 3 tablespoons of chilli con carne and 3 table spoons of cheesy mash
Drink Half mug of coffee, 2ltrs of NAS

Food wise its sounds fine, you really need to try and increase your fluid intake though. Try and get a cup a soup as a snack through the day to increase your fluids or a couple of pre made diet jellys (only 10 cals and no sugar)

Thanks, I've got some ice lollies and going to try other juices. I've gone right off squashes so thought pure juices with low cals and sugar should be ok x
