What do we all do . . . .?

If you are in the same line of the civil service as my husband Bob you most definitely are not over paid in fact his wages haven't kept up with the cost of living for so long I can't remember when he had a proper wage rise. Overtime doesn't exist it's time in lieu or if there is overtime it is for external duties only. The job is highly stressful in many ways. But he does love it on the days things go well and there are no problems.

I haven't had overtime in years and am definitely not over paid. I am waiting to find out where I am going to be working next as my office closes within 12 months! Just hope that I have my op soon so that I have at least lost some weight and have a little bit of confidence to move somewhere else!

Good Luck Peachie hope all goes well for you. I fully appreciate the lack of cost of living rise let alone any other form of raise.

quite fancied being a prison officer though...

I own a catering company....surprisingly I don't get chance to eat all the lovely food we produce we're so busy... I usually stop off on the way home and pick up a quick fix of takeaway...

Hi,

I am not working at the moment since going long term sick from SRH where I was an Admin Assistant. After I had my fall last June, where I injured both hands I have been unable to much. I am having surgery on my left hand on 27th July and hopefully be fit to go back to work. Though not a the SRH :)

I keep myself busy lately by making cards which is difficult with a gammy and reading all the messages in this forum. :D

im a civil servant...have worked at Land Registry for the last eleven years...sadly only have 3 working days left as being made redundant - my office is one of several that are closing/have been closed. I will not be looking for work until sept as I need to look after my 6yr old daughter and 4 yr old son in the school holidays but then who knows....not really sure what i want to do with myself :)
