A Step in the Right Direction

I was told the same. How much longer have you got? I stalled in my third week before dropping again in week 4 so if you've lost a bit quite quick that may be why.

i have until July and yes I lost really well to start with but thought it was my meds that stopped me losing. I post my intake in my diary and as well as steps added at least 30mins a day cardio. This causes me a high amount of pain due to my spine problems ect but I figured the loss would be worth it as the strain on it would be eased by the weight loss. :(

Have any of you heard of an UP my friend is lending me his to save me buying a fitbit, I will post how I get on when I collect it.

Good stepping peeps, keep it up x

No not banded Hun nurse thinks sleeve and that or a bypass because it's permanent and that's what I want. They do not tend to opt for the band at James Cook so if they say no my dreams are shattered :(

Thinking of you....
You can so this, you seem so positive and determined, enjoy the healthy foods but make sure you eat what fills you up and keep up those steps, you can do this. What do they want you to lose before July do you mind me asking? Xx

You have to remember that the first weeks are mostly water coming off hon. If we could shift the weight easy we would have done so! Keep the faith and plod on, I'm sure you'll get there. Don't let yourself go back to bad habits because you're anxious about it not moving - that's the real risk here. Will cross my fingers for you.

OOOh its soo lovely to come here and see so much activity :D hope your all doing ok this bright sunny monday .........

So, I've deleted the app - my phone never leaves my purse so it wasn't working. Need new batteries for my pedometer. However, I jogged 2km on the treadmill this morning so that's got to count for something!

Whop Neisie on the 2km jog wow hun wd :D

Pedometer is on and working! Woo hoo! Though I wear dresses pretty much every day. Does that mean I need to clip it on my underwear?

Will it clip to the center of you bra?

No the record won't show a difference sadly only the pounds lost will. The nurse told me they have very strict guideline to follow no loss no surgery :'( xx
:( meanies ................but am positive you will do it hunni x x x

Agreed don't get disheartened you are doing so well maybe think back to how things were different before you had the motivation to change, see what this new week brings we are all in it together ?
So are you waiting to be banded? Xx

WTG Jemima hunni fantastic YAY x x x

I think my fitbit over estimates the number of calories to be honest because I logged my first night sleep and when it synced this morning even though know how many times I woke up that I had burned 870 cals. My theory is forget the calories and take not of steps and activity. :)
It takes into account your breathing and movement thru the night that all burns calories :) also the more you wear it the better it gets at estimating your cal burn based over the course of time....... :)

Well done you that's fantastic and what a lovely walk along the coast line which one is it do you mind me asking? You must be really chuffed...
I was on my feet from 5am as decided to do a carboot with my sister what an experience ?? wanted to get rid of some old junk feel like I'm having a clear out in all areas in life ?? forgot to wear pedometer though... Xx

LOL fancy forgetting your pedometer  wd on the clear out and bootsale, were geared up ready to do one soon, get rid of these old clothes which no longer fit lol we walked from Newlyn thru to Mousehole yesterday :)
the plan is to start adding pics of my walks soon..... want to show you all how beautiful it is :) x x x

Hear hear Yvessa :) all my fingers and toes crossed .....................im willing you across that finishing line :D

I was thinking of clipping it to my bra or dress but then thought it might need to be near my hips to be accurate? No clue, really.

Well done everyone.... I'm so knackered now I've had to have a few hours with my duvet this afternoon:eek: been definitely overdoing it as usual. Am desperately hoping to get the all clear from my surgeon on Thursday so start with some gentle jogging again.

I have a standard (but good one) pedometer and it's on the hips Neise, or knickers when house pottering this morning, 130 steps for coffee, scar moisturising and dressing.

I have another 6lbs to lose I think and though it doesn't sound much it feels at times like this that it may as well be 6 stone...I won't let it stop me walking now just have to be stricter I guess.

Defo thanks though Hun :)

i know what you mean normally I would have given up at the first sign of failure so that's a good thing I think.

could you clip it to your sock?

Sadly, no. I live in the desert and it's "Spring" right now which is mid to high 30's. Other than when I'm at the gym I am only in sandals, year round. I've just clipped it to my panties and that'll have to do.

On that, first day, 3,294 steps plus a 2km jog. Tomorrow I'll wear the pedometer on the treadmill and see what happens! :D
