A Step in the Right Direction

Ah crystal..breakfast in bed. Never done that for at least 10 years. My dogs want me up and out as soon as I come too lol

Good luck for tomorrow Sharon...or actually for later today. I'm going to see the dietitian at 10 on Friday

Not had the fit bit on - lost
faith in it a bit. Defo going to send it back walked for an hour then a further two hours looking for a pair of jeans with no luck :)

Keep on stepping ladies

Nite nite xx

Crystal, hiw do you fit in all this walking in the day?

Kirsty i checked my fitbit in car yesterday, i remembered 1/2 hour from home and not one extra step!!! and the last 1/2 hour of the journey is all country bumpy winding lanes..... deffo get yours checked hun

Ali LOL i don't have a life LOL ........ i don't have kids, i don't see friends often, family all live 300 odd miles away, i don't work, the housework gets done whenever lol Before surgery........for the last 13 odd years i've had this illness which has made me pretty insular, this wl lark takes time..... they said at hospital you needed dedication to have a band LOL and tis true :) i could happily give up the constant fight to lose this weight, get a few fills and get on with something else in my life, but frankly with my ptsd and ocd (and the rest......depression, anxiety lol ) this way keeps my mind busy :) My medicine has been this wl journey, walking has helped clear my mind, and rid me of alot of crap i've carried for years. On top of that being a complete nutter :) very competitive too so that my answer.......... TOday consisted (walking wise) 1 long walk about 3 miles 1 quick walk just now and a few minutes on the walking machine..............11183 steps today but often its 2 evening walks. The walking machine is a must tho, to get my calorie burn i have to do it on walker, out with a stick just don't cut it..... I'm after a cross trainer now, i still need the support under my foot. But the air walker has been a god send. I guess i just set myself a target and don't stop till i reach it LOL SAD i know but it works for me x x x x x x

Had a reply from fitbit. Trying to tell me it's normal to track steps while driving due to the acceleration. ******** I told them and am awaiting my reply!

Just a thought.... are you clipping it right in the center of your bra?? mine fits so snug against me theres no chance of it accidentally moving!! Tell em you belong to a large wl forum where lots of us have them now and how we rave about them LOL

Sharon...been arguing back and forward with fitbit. They have said that they have been into the system and looked at mine and it's perfectly ok and given me a whole load of instructions for discounting the steps

Their argument to mine re the folks on the forum not clocking steps in the car is.......you must be driving on different types of roads!!!! WTF!

I wondered if over the next couple of weeks some time, I could take you for a ten minute car journey.....then how could they argue if one fitbit clicks steps on the journey and one does not ????

No steps for me today even though I have been rushed off my feet....today started well as it's my granddaughters 7th birthday so I was very excited. All downhill from their I'm afraid. Set off to get her presents ect delivered early as had a very busy day planned. Got to her house and she had left early for school so that she could call at friends house first. (I do not get on with granddaughters mother) this doesn't surprise me though so dropped them with a member of her family. Set off home and the water pump decided to go on the camper van that had only yesterday left the garage for new radiator fitted and new oil pump.So had to then get my youngest to come and collect me as 2 of my dogs were booked into groomers today and I was still 16miles away with 20mins to get there. My youngest wasn't feeling good and looked terrible so ordered him to drop me with the dogs and get to doctors...Had to take passports to travel agent as they needed to see them to go through with our booking so set off to do this whilst waiting for dogs only to be told when I got there that they would be out of date when we travel ( we knew this and sorted a date around Christmas to renew) so booking was on hold pending new passports :( Next groomers then rang me to tell me one of my dogs had a small cut to his leg but not done by them :( poor dog would be so upset. Husband rings me next to say camper going to need new oil pump and gaskets for said pump... Youngest then turns up to allow me to get dogs back home and looks quite upset so sat quiet until we got them home. He went upstairs a while then came down to tell me that he had made a call to cancel his intake day for RAF next month. Turns out he has a severe chest infection so will delay his intake by 6 months. Now on a course of 2 antibiotics and a week of steroids and hoping he keeps clear of Asthma as that will ruin his career for over 5 yrs because he has only just passed a 5 yr clear deadline. Ended the day stuffing my face and wishing I hadn't got out of bed :'(
