Phew what a long day today has been. Hubbie and I decided to get the train to Walsall today instead of hiring a car, it costs about the same but thought we would have a bit of an adventure.
It took over three hours to get there so maybe wasn't such a good idea, but we left plenty of time and it really has been a lovely day hasn't it.
My appointment was for ten past four but didn't get in until almost quarter to six, to find a very tired Mrs Heitman doing the clinic. She had been there since nine in the morning and on top of the three patients to come after me also had an evening clinic at Easibrook bless her.
Anyway my Xrays showed nothing untoward, but I'm not out of the woods yet. She said that not all problems show up with the xray and that something is definately not right because she can feel that my stomach is swollen and my hair loss is a lot more than is normally expected. The upshot is I'm back on a liquid diet for the next week or so until Mr Khan is back then they are going to have a look with a camera.
She said it could just be my little tum is kicking its heels a bit because of the trauma my body has been through over the past couple of months and it may just settle down on its own so we'll see.
She has doubled my vitamin, calcium ect and written me a note for my doctor telling her what blood tests she needs done before the next appointment (seems my doctor sent me for the wrong tests). It doesn't look like its anything serious thank god and should settle down in time.
Lynn was at the clinic, poor love had to wait a lot longer than I did and there was another two ladies that were also bypassed around the same time as me, they all looked a lot slimmer and a hell of a lot happier, that was nice to see. *Waves to Lynn*.
The best part of today is that I amazed myself and hubbie. I decided that we would walk to the station because it was so lovely, its about two miles away. Got to Walsall and could see the chimney near the hospital in the distance so decided to walk to the hospital, enjoyed it that much we walked back to the station and then from the station home. I'm feeling it now, but worked it out that it had to be the best part of six miles altogether. Thats amazing for me. Anyway a nice long bath for me now, catch you all later..
xx
