Take care hun and hope u have a good day xxxx

For someone thats supposed to be intelligent I'm incredibly thick at times. Being Blonde really is a curse....lol

Went to sweeten some grapefruit juice yesterday but hubby had moved the jars around and this idiot went and sweetened it with a big spoon of sugar. It wasn't until I got to the bottom and thought 'that sweetner is a bit gritty' that I realised what I'd done. Too late!

About an hour later I started to be sick, went incredibly cold and shivery although hubbie had all the windows open because of the heat outside. I felt weak, my head was pounding and I couldn't focus on anything. I knew what it was of course, took some painkillers, anti sickness tabs and went to bed.

Couldn't sleep though, kept getting up and doing stuff to keep myself occupied until the early hours but eventually it calmed down and I did sleep. This morning I've a bit of a whoozy head but otherwise I feel fine.

All that because of one large spoonful of sugar, who'd have believed it. I'll be a damn site more careful in future now I think.

I'm officially a dumper now..

:( glad your feeling better, hope your hubby looked after you. Damn men moving things round lol.

I'm not strong at all. I'm the same as the rest of you. Its just that when these things keep happening you have to deal with them as best you can then move on. Thats something you learn when you get old like me...lol

Hubbie got it in the neck when I realised what I'd done bless him but really its not difficult to tell the difference between sugar and Canderel, one is about half the weight of the other for a start off. Can only blame myself really.

Hi Bonita
thanks for sharing your trials with everyone. You have been through the mill girl ( so sorry to hear about your bad times and I hope that your feeling better today with your bug and after your episode with the sugar yesterday.

You are a true spirit and fighter and of course an inspiration to everyone. I do hope that they sort you out as soon as possible and fantastic news about your weight loss! Well done girl! It will soon drop off when you get rid of your dressings and you get rid of the fluid so dont worry.

Take care and good luck when you go back for your results. Hugs Jayne xxx

Sending you hugs and fairy dust to make you feel better and sparkly xx

Ha Ha Lesley I've done nothing but laugh about it all day. Some of the things I do are really rediculous like...

Not so long back I put the washing in the bin and the rubbish in the washing machine. If that wasn't bad enough about fifteen minutes later I could hear this dreadfull row coming from the kitchen and went to investigate. Needless to say we had some lovely clean dog food tins, I'd washed the lot.

It wasn't a bypass I needed it was a Lobotomy...lol

Hope your feeling ok now.
xx

Oh Bonita that is hilarious, you never fail to make me laugh when I come on here, you should be bottled as a feel good tonic!!!!!! You are doing so well hun, you should be well & truly proud of yourself. Take care of yourself and keep up the posts, I don't know what I would do without you!!!!

Phew what a long day today has been. Hubbie and I decided to get the train to Walsall today instead of hiring a car, it costs about the same but thought we would have a bit of an adventure.

It took over three hours to get there so maybe wasn't such a good idea, but we left plenty of time and it really has been a lovely day hasn't it.

My appointment was for ten past four but didn't get in until almost quarter to six, to find a very tired Mrs Heitman doing the clinic. She had been there since nine in the morning and on top of the three patients to come after me also had an evening clinic at Easibrook bless her.

Anyway my Xrays showed nothing untoward, but I'm not out of the woods yet. She said that not all problems show up with the xray and that something is definately not right because she can feel that my stomach is swollen and my hair loss is a lot more than is normally expected. The upshot is I'm back on a liquid diet for the next week or so until Mr Khan is back then they are going to have a look with a camera.

She said it could just be my little tum is kicking its heels a bit because of the trauma my body has been through over the past couple of months and it may just settle down on its own so we'll see.

She has doubled my vitamin, calcium ect and written me a note for my doctor telling her what blood tests she needs done before the next appointment (seems my doctor sent me for the wrong tests). It doesn't look like its anything serious thank god and should settle down in time.

Lynn was at the clinic, poor love had to wait a lot longer than I did and there was another two ladies that were also bypassed around the same time as me, they all looked a lot slimmer and a hell of a lot happier, that was nice to see. *Waves to Lynn*.

The best part of today is that I amazed myself and hubbie. I decided that we would walk to the station because it was so lovely, its about two miles away. Got to Walsall and could see the chimney near the hospital in the distance so decided to walk to the hospital, enjoyed it that much we walked back to the station and then from the station home. I'm feeling it now, but worked it out that it had to be the best part of six miles altogether. Thats amazing for me. Anyway a nice long bath for me now, catch you all later..

xx

Hi Bonita, I hope that they will get you sorted out when Mr Khan returns. Well done for walking so far, the new you is truly emerging! You've lost so much weight in such a short period of time. Lets hope your health catches up with your weight loss.

Thanks for the laugh. One of my friends once put her husbands slippers in the oven and the meat by the door. I am so glad she didn't make us eat it. Look forward to reading your future threads.

Rebirth

Glad to know I'm not the only fool Rebirth..lol

Forgot to mention that yesterday when weighed I had lost a further 4kgs in the last six days. Thats taken me under the 18 stone mark and a total loss of 6 stone 2 lbs so far.

This morning I decided to pull all those skirts out of the back of the wardrobe that i haven't been able to wear for six years and got hubby to get the stuff out of the loft. I didn't realise I had so many clothes, I'd got so used to switching between my two big skirts.

Trouble is now I've a huge pile of stuff thats too big, dissapointed I couldn't wear any of it and also have tons of stuff that fits but can't decide what to wear, and know I won't get through a lot of it before its all too big as well.

Sadly I'm one of those people that used to buy stuff because I liked the look of it then leave it sitting in the wardrobe with the sticker still on it and never get to wear it so there is rather a lot of it.

Time for a car boot or Ebay methinks.

Georgina the dietician rang me this morning. Mrs Heitman had told her that she was a bit concerned that I was struggling with my diet. Thats an understatement..lol

Anyway we had quite a long chat and she too seems to think it may be down to reflex problems as opposed to surgical, so I'm to stay on fluids for a while and start from scratch, keeping a diary as I go, which I do anyway.

I'll get to see her when I next go to Mr Khans clinic in a couple of weeks and we'll go through the diary to see if there is a problem in what I'm actually trying to eat. She said that Mrs Heitman also wants me checked for Celiac Disease so to tell me doctor.

One day they will get to the bottom of all this...lol

You're doing so well and are handling all the problems brilliantly. You'll have to eBay your clothes and put the cash towards a new smaller wardrobe. x
