A very uplifting day, if I do say so myself !!

Hi Bonita, me again. Sorry, I am a twit. I was so lost in your story at the begining that I totally forgot it was the first of many pages and that you would have moved on now. I hope I haven't let you dwell on things you want to forget and the fact your wound is healing up so well it no longer needs packing.

Which mag will your story be in?

Rebirth

Well done for the weight loss and the fact your wound appears to b

Its going into Thats Life magazine. Not sure when yet but think it could be over the next couple of weeks because they have been on the phone a couple of times today sorting out the small print. I don't know how long these mags take before going to print. When I worked in the industry it was normally two months from type to print, but don't know with this type of thing.

Went to Walsall again today. Beginning to think I should move my camp bed there...lol, I'm sure Anna would love that... Ha Ha. This time it was for a swallow test and xrays which took all of about two minutes to do, will get the results in a week or so. The stuff they gave me to swallow wasn't that nice and rather sweet which got me worrying about dumping but been fine so far.

Met one of the ladies that had her op around the same time I had mine whilst there, Lynn Foster. I'm hoping she looks here sometime....*Hi Lynn*...Waves....

Although she looked really well she said that she been suffering a pain in her stomach and had only lost three stone.
It turns out her pain was caused through an abcess between her stomach and diaphram, as for her weight loss, as I pointed out to her three stone was damn good going and inline for her stone a month target, besides she wasn't as big as me to start with, which is possibly why I'm losing more, I'm sure we will both level out at some point.

I know she goes to WLS meets and has tried to contact me via facebook, but like the idiot I am, I just got her facebook addy which I now can't find and didn't think to get her phone number or email addy, so if anyone knows her can you point her in the direction of this thread please.

wow ! Well done Bonita, sounds like your doing really well, cant beat a nice walk in the sun, even if it is to the doc's lol.

Thank you Hannah.

Would you believe I've now gone and got a stomach bug.. Aaarrrghhh.

My youngest sons girlfriend Aimee is a nurse at A&E Heartland hospital and must have picked it up there. She has been so poorly and not meaning to sound heartless but I've avoided her as much as I can. I did drop some stuff off from Boots but stood the other side of the door refusing to get too close but doesn't look like it worked.

Had to get the train to Tamworth this afternoon, was fine until about halfway through the journey when suddenly I started to feel really sick. Managed to make it to the loo but it was a very unpleasant experience especially in a stinky train loo.

By the time I got home my lower stomach was crippling and couldn't get off the loo at all for a couple of hours. Crushed some Imodium and it has settled a bit now but can't even keep water down. Hubby went and got some Dioralite so will try some of that later.

Why me... Groan....lol

Oh Bonita - never mind sweetheart just make sure you look after yourself and get some fluids in. You are definately a little fighter so you have come up against another hurdle, do what you have done with all the other hurdles - clear this on and life will settle down and you will continue to go from strength to strength with you weight loss programme.

Take care - sending gentle hugs and medical fairy dust to make you feel better soon xx

Blimey Bonita, your not having much luck at the moment bless you. Hope you feel better soon. Really looking forward to your That's Life story - do you get paid (if you don't mind me asking -I'm v nosey). x

Hope you are feeling well soon. If you can't keep fluids down try sucking an ice cube or drinking warm H2O.

OMG! OMG! OMG!

I've got a waistline!!!!!

Well a tiny little dent either side of my big fat stomach that is, but its a start. Wonder if my skirts will stay put now instead of riding up under my boobs. what do you think?......lol

Still being sick and think I must have burst a blood vessel this morning too. All I did was have one very small mouthfull of Weatabix and within seconds I had really bad pain in my chest and back up it promptly came. Can't wait for these results on Tues, this is getting silly.

Bit of good news today. The district nurses have decided that I don't need to change my dressings so often now and are only coming on a weekly basis. I have a huge box full of dressings and can do them myself should I have to, but they would prefer I left it as long as I could. Apparently the Allevyn Gentle Border cost £8 each. Trust me to have funny skin and not be able to tollerate the cheapo's. Hubby has always said I am high maintenance woman.
....Ha Ha

That is good news about your wound!!! And you have a waist Woop Woop - it is amazing how your body shrinks down showing and enticing you with things you haven't seen or had for a while (i have rediscovered a ganglion on my writst i had quite forgot it was there hehe)

Hope your results on Tuesday are good and that they can sort you out so you can continue to enjoy the new you and the new life you should be getting used to.

Sending hugs and fairy dust to help you feel better and keep you sparkling xx

Keep going Bonita! You are doing brilliantly and have had one hell of a rough ride thus far. xx
