Oh god how traumatic, I think I would have made me excuses and legged it.

In a few months time there will be space in that first chair, the gown will fit and fasten and you will look back on moments like this which fondess and hapiness because of how far you will have come x

Throwing another out here
The bath.....firstly I love a wallow, I mean what hippo doesn't ( I was called a hippo by several people over the years )
Getting in the blinking bath with that 5 inches of water and appon said seated hippo it rises to full! Then there's the fact you get cold cos most of your body doesn't even touch the water due to your size. Lifting all the folds to wash. Being in pain on your hips as you've jammed yourself in hoping you don't get stuck. Then comes the time to get out ... Ummm 10 minutes later of hoisting 1-2-3 1-2-3 lifting your leg over the side of that bath. Was it worth it?

I only showered for years because of these reasons, I'm working up to a bath lol!

I cannot get out of a bath . The last time I was in one must have been 10 years ago , when I was large but reasonably fit and had rode my bike along the Camel Trail down to Padstow , 16 miles , it's very beautiful if anyone fancies doing that .
There was a roll top bath in the posh room we stayed in and I so wanted to soak my aching saddle end !
It was deep and full of bubbles when I lowered myself in and I lay there feeling like Marilyn Munroe sipping a large glass of wine .. It was heaven ..
Roflll , then the bubble burst so to speak when my husband had to wrestle me back out again ! Good job he loves me as it was like wrestling a greasy pig Roflll !
We only had an over head shower which I had used before then as deff could not fit in my own bath ..
Ripped bath out a couple of years ago when knees got bad and I was frightened of slipping . Got a double walk in shower now but still have to go sideways through the doors ..

I'm not sure really .. I know I'm not scared . not yet anyway
Tomorrow morning might be a whole lot different I bet .
I'm very emotional I know that . Can cry at the drop of a hat at the moment . I know as soon as they come and get me tomorrow for the theatre and I have to kiss Malc , I'm going to lose it .. It's such a feeling of relief , to know something is being done to help me and this pain I've been living with for the last 5 years plus ..

Totally empathise with all of that Mindy. I feel reassured as I did lots of research about the surgeon. But like you once I'm in that gown and paper knickers it'll be a whole different story!!

I'm doing ok and being on this diet is making me reason I hardly ever eat out of hunger. I know it's the emotional battle I will need to deal with post band and I just hope I can work with the band and not against it!

Omg yes the hairdressers, mine used to use the gowns without arms and use 2 on me, one the normal way covering my front and the other on backwards like supermans cape (Only I didn't feel very super) and those chairs digging into my legs and the backwards hairwash I used to struggled to sit up afterwards!

Now a size 8 my neck vertebra kill when I'm at the backwash sink lol, its like a human xylophone
