Gastric Balloon Any ballooners out there? Support needed!

I had mine put in middle of November and I've lost 3 stone 2 pounds. Expect the weight loss to slow down after first couple of months. They didn't tell me that but it's happened to everyone on here xx

I have mine out in 3 weeks and I've lost 3 stone. Happy with results and the way I now think about food. Diets alone didn't sort my head out but with the balloon and the support I feel able to continue once it's out.

Thanks toddy. I've stuck to my original diet but eat a lot less. I decided early on that if I changed too much I wouldn't be able to maintain it. I did invest in portion plates and use them to this day as a reminder of what I should be eating. I used to have lunch out with the other half every weekend and then cooked a full meal that night. We wouldn't dream of doing that now. It really has made me take stock of what I actually need. I still have the odd treat, glass of wine, g&t but I balance that with my daily intake.....something I couldn't do before. Also must confess unlike my fellow ballooners I do not do exercise and have still achieved the 3 stone goal.
It's not easy, believe me I have suffered these last few months and at time regretted having it done but now I can reflect and see I have a more positive out look when it comes to food. It is not my comforter but a bday fuel that needs to be taken in moderation.

I got to nearly a 5 stone loss with the balloon .. Add to that a 4 stone loss beforehand in an effort to get into the right mindset before I had it inserted. Good luck toddy ;)

I was really strict in the beginning calorie wise. Now I just watch portion sizes. You get used to what's right and what isn't pretty quickly!

Totally agree neisie, that's why my portion plate is a life saver. The other half has the male version and it's easier with the 2 of us doing it

I just looked up the portion plate... Going to order one on Amazon and have my mom bring it when I see her in June.

So... Off to the UK next week. Going to Cotswolds, a place called the Cheltinham Park Hotel. Anyone been? My sister-in-law has been fighting terminal cancer for some time and after all her fighting, the end is now near. So, we're flying up to take her and her hubby for a weekend away of relaxing. Hopefully the place is nice. We needed a hotel and not a B&B so we can spend the whole weekend at the hotel and not worry about having to leave for anything.

Also, tomorrow I'm off to look at villas. After 3 years in our Downtown Dubai apartment, it's time to move. I hate moving but we have to buy this place or get out and we chose to get out. Fingers crossed that I see something good!

Sorry to hear about your sis-in-law. I'm sure it will be fine as it is a beautiful part of the country.
I have the his and hers portion plates, you can get bowls too. They really have kept me on track.

Aw Neisie sorry to hear about your sister in law hope u all enjoy the time away I'm sure u will xxx The portion plates sound a fab idea going to look at them today Sorry haven't been on much guys I've been really struggling mentally after the last meeting with the nurse but today I am absolutely buzzing. I haven't weighed my self in a couple of weeks as getting disheartened with scales not going down quickly enough for my liking but braved them today and so pleased I did. Last time I weighed myself my total weight loss was 3 stone 2 lbs today it's 3 stone 10 lbs so so happy. I'm near my personal goal of losing 4 stone with the balloon and still have 3 weeks till balloon is removed. In your face nasty nurse lmao xxx Hope everyone is well Woody xxx

I've used those lighter life 5:2 meal packs today. OMG they are bloody awful!
I can't use them twice a week for each meal lol I'm gonna use them once on each day and use salad n stuff.
It's worth it to be skinny. As Kate moss said nothing tastes as good as feeling slim feels!!
I need my 14 jeans to be comfy again! Off to gym tonight. Tomorrow is a year since I had my balloon and I can't believe it. I will post some pics on here of me b4 and now.
 
Well done woody, that is amazing. Come on we have 3 weeks left until we are deballooned. One last push to get the weight off.

I couldn't eat that if you paid me double. Did lighter life a few years ago and gave up after 2 months as was soooo sick on the 'food'.
Looking forward to seeing the pictures xx
 
Went looking for new places today. Can't fit my furniture in the affordable villa, can't afford the villa that will fit my furniture. Why can life never be easy?
