Yes I rang L&D yes not everyone has to have a lung test. so if things go to plan you will be one week ahead of me . When you see the surgeon/Ant do they do ecg the same time? X

I had my ECG done at my MDT but it takes 10 mins and you can get just a request form and walk in and wait. You don't need an appointment xx

Hello there , im under LnD , been going there for over a year , after diet after diet and getting no where , eventually after having a bit of a go at them Iv had good positive movement , im down to have surgery on 23rd of March , and cant wait .Nice to see some other folk from my way on here and even a Bedford lad ......hope your all well and your journeys going well ,.....iv just started mine .....long way to go but I will get there !!! New to this group , and the more I use it the better and more useful its getting .....

Hi, I have my MDT appointment this Friday (13th). How long did you have to wait after your MDT appointment before you were given surgery date?

Hi, i had my MDT on 2nd and have my consultant & anaesthatist appointment on 17th, think they usually tell you at this appointment, so its about 3 weeks ish

Usually 6 - 8 weeks after MDT depending on if you need additional tests or your surgeon etc xxxx

Iv got pre op assessment in a couple of weeks just to make sure im fit enough for surgery , everything seems to be going well and quite quick too once they said theyd help at last .Only trouble I find with L n D is you see too many different people so it as if you keep going round in circles , but at last they are helping and I couldnt be happier , I put alot of weight on when I was addicted to oral steroids for breathing problems , (over 3 years on them constantly) , just glad hospital helpjng and I can do everything to help with weight loss etc

I think L&D don't have a timing structure. I personally think it's pot luck when u get an appointment. I saw the MDtT on the 19 Jan and not seeing surgeon to the 26th Feb, and then I don't know if they will give u the surgery date then and there.

Yes thats what happened with me , saw Surgeon Anestetist and dietician and was give surgery date there and then , since then follow up appointment have been coming thick n fast , everythings falling into place just right

Fatbloke1 i am under mr whitelaw as well, when did you have your appointment with him and anaesthatist, just wondered how long between being told date and surgery, I am seeing mr whitelaw/anaesthatist on Tuesday

Xbander I had my appointment with Doc and Anestetist about 2 weeks ago , have had follow up letters thru since and due to have Op on 23rdMarch as long as Pre-Op Assessment all ok ...............so from seeing Docs alls toddling along well and at a nice pace too , Doc seems really nice and made me feel really at ease ............took a while to get to this stage but now its all systems go
