Anyone under Luton & Dunstable hopsital

Crikey , we might even be in beds next to each other and not know it if its a mixed ward ........I bet meal times in hospital are a bundle of joy !!!!
 
If that's the case, hope I get a different day, have had enough of that from my dog today. haha!

MDT and Echocardiogram at Luton tomorrow, sh***ng myself, I put weight on over Christmas (my choice), hope it does not affect my journey. I have lost it all and a little more. I hope they will not penalise me for it. Will let you know tomorrow evening. Wish my luck.
 
Don't worry Sundowners, I also put weight on over Christmas and lost it and some more, they were fine with this, the fact that you have lost it since they will be happy with that.
I had my MDT and all went well, so don't think you will have a problem. Good luck tomorrow Xxx
 
So how do they penalise you if you have put weight on ? And how easy is it to put weight on , tho you both say Xmas so im sure that is to be expected then , and well done for losing the weight since .I think iv got lots to learn havent I z?
 
I was honist with them Big Dave D and its very easy to put weight back on Fatbloke1.
They only go by your weight on the day, as i have lost 4 stone since April they were very happy with me, they were very impressed that i had lost the weight and more, i put on at christmas
 
So Xbander ......going by your name did you have a gastric band and not a bypass ? I was told it is possible to 'cheat' with a band , but harder with a bypass ,.........this is still a learning thing for me , can honestly say I cannot wait as desperate to be slimmer as being big doesnt help with my breathing and mobility plus as we all know as you get big your self esteem takes a right beating !!! When I hear of folk on here losing weight , I want it too !!!
 
I also have sight problems and have tunnel vision, my mobility has been greatly affected by my weight, my driving licence was revoked due to my sight so being mobile is vital to me, it was really getting me down, I lost 11 stone a few years ago on lighterlife but ended up putting it all back on, I need to be able to get it off and keep it off. We will all get tgere and be so much helthier and happier, not long now till we are all on the loosers bench.
 
I too have had the gastric band, paid £7,000 for it. I could not even swallow water with it and was sick everyday. I Had it done at Dolan park. I see on this site that others are getting it done there. I have spoke to a quite a few people who had the band there and had to remove it. So good luck to them. I also had to have my gallbladder removed because of the problems it caused me. Thankfully the NHS is paying this time. Can I ask I said I had MDT. I thought that was the phychologist, dietician and nurse am I wrong. Xx:sigh:
 
Oh by the way I put weight on over Christmas and I got penalised, I blamed them as they keep moving the goel post and not giving me direction on what was happening. They have now put me on 1 snack a day, I meal and 2 pints a week until the 26 of the month. Bloody hard going . X
 
Bedford2015 MDT is the psycologist, diatition and nurse, sorry to hear they are messing you around, did you not manage to loose what you put on over christmas before you saw them at the L&D
 
Hi I did not, I went totally of the plot as I knew this would be my last Christmas ever eating like this. Cos of the experience of the band i just had to have everything in site. I was honest with them. X
