Anyone under Luton & Dunstable hopsital

Morning all , sorry to but in mrshengy im new on here awaiting op on 23rd March , did you say 4 weeks n 18 lb weight loss and not too many probs afterwards , thats fantastic , keep it uo you must be soooo pleased

Hi fatbloke1,
Don't think we've 'met' lol, I had a bypass on 20th January at L&D by Dr Jain, I was in pain when I woke up in recovery by morphine ended that, 24 hours later I was out of hospital, had a few pains like a stomach ache for 2 days after then I was out and about after that feeling fine & touch wood til this day feel great, started gym last week but only power walking on treadmill at the mo I'm on phase 3 at the mo which is soft foods can only manage 6 teaspoons and I'm stuffed, I don't feel hungry or fancy food. It's been 4 weeks today and 18lb loss. Good luck in your journey xx
 
Lo Mrshengy ......Crikey ......up and about , treadmill , losing weight , your doing really well ........hope I have the same results after Op .......I suffer from COPD so my breathing isnt very good so theyve told me il probably have to stay in a day or two longer to make sure iv got no breathing problems or infections on my chest ,...............folk on here have been a great help and it seems to me everyone has a bit of a different journey , but after growing attached to my settee and being virtually confined to my house for what seems ages I dont mind how my journey is as iv seen many success stories on here , really looking forward to it and hopefully the first time someone says how good im looking
 
I'm now in full panic I'm not gunna get surgery til may!! FML seriously!!! On the other hand I wonder how xbanders getting on. Hope she gets her dates bless, she was sooooo nervous cxx fingers crossed xxx

Don't despair. You kinda get used to waiting in this game...waiting for appointments, phone calls, letters, etc.

May isn't so far away, you'll get there. x
 
Im from Bedford Mrshengy .......born and almost bred ........lived most of my life here , what about yourself ? Nice that theres a few folk from Bedfordshire on here and we can relate to same docs etc , and folk on here so friendly and helpful x

Sorry I've been so messed around tho I had my MDT in November and everyone else has had surgery! I'm just fed up of it! They've had me on milk diet last two weeks and told me to loose another stone before the 19th which ive stressed so much about and done!! I've been attending for 18 months and jumping through hoops it's honestly wearing thin now tho. X
 
I just spoke to L&D Dr Jain is only away the last week of March. The other Indian surgeon is off in April, so don't know what's happened there lol?????? lets just keep our fingers crossed xxx

Oh that's good then, swear they tell people different stuff they told me til 23rd April yesterday lol, fatbloke I'm from Milton Keynes so not to far from you! Can't wait to hear from xbander when she's having surgery xx
 
Ha ha ha mrshengy!! Let's be honest we will never be 100% knowing about anything ha ha ha but there is no way I'm waiting til may when my MDT was November lol!!! I've stuck to my end of the deal now it's there turn xxx I'm so pleased for you, how you been finding it?? Maybe in the summer we should all get together?? Xxx
 
Mk Mrshengy .......dont they do the Op in Bucks somewhere then , thought it was a County thing , Sorry MK not my fave place ,......as a bloke iv been dragged around the shopping centre far too many times looking for a dress or top etc when I was with the Mrs .......only to buy it in the first shop we went into in the first place ............tho if or when iv lost this weight I might just make an exception to go there to buy a decent shirt from a good shop instead of having to order online coz its the only way to get the size ........im sure we all know that one !!!!
 
Hahaaa fatbloke I bloody hate the shopping centre too try and avoid it if I can! That's true Claudia you def deserve surgery soon, how much have you lost on milk diet? You finding it ok? I'm really good thanks started gym 3 times a week now and bought some size 18 jeans :) I'd be up for a meet up, maybe we could meet at centre mk just to drag fatbloke round hahaaaaa, I don't mind traveling to meet! My doctor said its luton that deals with us and it only takes me 20 mins to get to L&D x
