Got my pre-op assessment date today - it's 31st March. Have to have an ultrasound first on my gallbladder, have had problems with it in the past so surgeon said if they find any stones in it, he would remove that at the same time along with repairing my hernia. I am having ultrasound done locally rather than having to go back to Luton for it.

Haven't got my letter yet. The nurse rang me today regarding a special blood test they want me to have done when I go to pre-op on 31st. That's the first I had heard of the date, she said a letter was probably in the post but she would check, so no doubt we will get it in a day or two. Hope yours is the same day.

6 week weigh in today for me lost 26lb that brings me to 4stone 10 pound since I started tier 3 in July good luck to all of you having surgery this month xx

A bit pee'd off today. Got appointments from Luton & Dunstable today one to see nurse on 31st March, then I have another to see the surgeon and the dietician on the 1st June. Still waiting for the pre-op appointment by letter (been confirmed by phone for the 31st March). That means two 4 hour round trips one day after the other.

Have also booked the hotel for when I have the op. So getting there.

Hi all. Got 3 letters the post. Rang them up to ask what they were for as it did not say. Two was post surgery appointment and one for pre-op appointment, which is the same as Sundowners x

Do we get one for the pre-op as nothing mentions it on mine and the one for the 31st is to see the nurse but it is not until 4.00 p.m. When the nurse spoke to me the other day she mentioned to me that I have to have a special blood test done and to go to Zone G first to get the form before heading off to pre-op, so don't know if we get a different letter.-

I have got a diatition appointment and a pre op appointment on the 10th March and surgery on 25th and post op appointment on 5th May with surgeon and then nurse

So I received this as my pre op. It's only a week before my surgery so had to do mine really over the phone concerning milk diet etc. I'm also back in day after to have my last breathing test lol! Dr Whitelaw is coming to it as he said my treatments a joke and I don't need these tests lol. I know how your feeling mines a three hour round trip also xxx

Well 1 letter dated for 31st March is for bariatric MDT at 3.30.

She said I have a missing letter which should be 14.00 for pre- op.

Why can't it be simple x

I've also got two other letters for the 5th May to see dietician at 3pm and then Dr Whitelaw at 4:15pm. Lol I haven't even got my surgery letter through yet and I've already received my check up letters lol xxx

I have to go to the Pre Assessment clinic in the Arrivals Lounge for my pre op health check, no idea where that is, I havent been given an appointment to get my injection bits though, presume the nurse sorts that bit out but havent got an appointment for that yet.

I had 2 appointments a day apart too one pre op the other dietician which was a pain! I had my pre op in the portacabin behind a&e, you get your injections and dietician instructions at the dietician appointment, and you have bloods after pre op, pre op give you a form to take to the blood department xx
