Hi All

Just got my surgery date for bypass on 30th March 15, just looking for a bit of support, other pre opper? having surgery at Salford Royal with Basil Ammori's Team, anyone else out there who has had or due to have surgery at the Royal?

All support is very welcome, i can tell you i almost fell of my chair when i got the call at lunch time & now am having a bit of a wobble as its just dawned on me how close i am to having the surgery, there must be others feeling like i do?

I'm there tomorrow I'll have a look to see if I can see arrival lounge & let you know... You inject it in your stomach every night for 2 weeks x

Morning all , todays the day of my Pre -Op assessment , so hoping alls good and I get to pass GO . Now just checking my letter it says take my medication with me ........now do they mean I actually take along all my tablets n capsules etc .......or just a list of what im taking and when I take them ......does anybody know ta ...............hope your all well x

They will need a list anyway, but might be worth bringing the meds as you may need to get some in liquid form for post op especially if the tablets are big

Thanks Xbander , il do that then , tho I do take a few .....nearly 30 a day ......im hoping at sometime in future I can get rid of half of them .....

I've lost 2stone since op on there scales & they were very happy with what I was eating etc next check up is in 3 months xx

Back from Pre -Op assessment and its all systems go , Liquid diet from Monday until Op on 23rd .......everyone at LnD was so so nice today and I got in to see Bariatric Dietitian an hour earlier so a good visit thru n thru .........no need to take actual medicines today , happy with a list of what im taking and when , even told to go out and have something very nice over the weekend as a treat ,,...........from Monday my journey begins

Morning Claudia , yes it has been quiet hasnt it , well since having my Pre-Opp assessment on Friday and getting green light for surgery on 23rd iv been counting down the days with excitement and apprehension .........Started my pre-opp liquid diet yesterday .....so its all milk n water with bovril n jelly thrown in as a treat ..............been trying to find out as much as possible about Operation and life after ..........can anyone tell me after the Op and you come round , how soon is it until il be able to shower without worry to Op marks , as I do like to keep clean . Although my mobility is limited trying hardest to get my home Spring cleaned to give me something to do and just incase I cant do alot after coming out of hospital , I hope everyones coping well and I guess I may see some of you on the Other side ........good luck xx

Hi all, I am alive too. Lost the plot again. Will get motivated again hopefully at the pre op. X

Saw Diatition (Tom ) and had pre-op, got injection and meds for pre op, so all set now,started milk diat today, yippee

I am here and all is well. Just got back from my follow up appointment at Addenbrookes Hospital where I did the Tier 3 and they are very happy with everything and no longer want to see me. Have also got my appointment for the ultrasound, that's next Tuesday. Then we're off away in our motorhome until a couple of days before pre-op on 31st and appointments on 1st. then away again for Easter, then it's only about 9 days before op. - OOOHAAAAH
