Anyone under Luton & Dunstable hopsital

It's in the surgical block right near obesity clinic, go up to the second floor and it's through the grey doors to your right. Very very easy. I went to have a look where surgery is at the modular theatre today too. Very strange abit like the white breast screening cabins you get. Never went in but very suprised they were theatres I'm hoping to upgrade to cobham clinic so I can have my hubby come visit me at anytime of the day. Xxx
Hi Claudiadearman
What does upgrading to the Cobham clinic involve?

Basically you can call them with your date and surgeons name. when you go in on the day you can have your own room etc if they have one available. You won't find this out til the night before THO. You don't pay anything til the day if you get a bed etc. it's £140 per night. I'm only thinking about it as my partner can't visit during normal times and at the cobham clinic you can visit anytime. Xx

Hi Lulua, which surgeon do you have. Also I was told that because I use a Cpap I will be in the HDU (high dependency unit) following surgery, were you told that? Might see you on the 16th then.

Mr Jain is who I saw... yeh Ill b in HDU for 1 night then on ward second night apparantly....

I got told I will be discharged the next day. My surgeon said he does not like to keep his patients in, I asked even if I can't pee and he said yes!! I have had lots of surgery's and always had to pee before I could go home x

Well just to let you all know am doing well, all drips down sipping well, out walking about, have 2 drains in as i had my band removed, but all doing well

I was told the same, if I am well enough I can go home the next day. But we have decided to have a night in a hotel just in case anything should arise as we are a 2 hour drive away. We also booked the hotel for the night before admission. My hubby is also staying there, we got 3 nights for £104.00.
