August 2014 Surgeries

Well i had my pre op today, all done, i have to go back on the 21st for another blood test before the op on the 26th. Two weeks tomorrow.....

So I'm finally home! It's soo good to be home. It was not quite as smooth as I thought it was going to be. When I had recovered I started vomiting blood ect, and found it hard to keep anything down Ended up being kept in bed until the next day. Yesterday I still couldn't keep any of the pain killers or anti acid down and had a long and tricky night sleep. I then got given an injection at about 3am which really helped me to sleep and woke up today feeling much better. I have so far kept everything down although 2/3 tea spoons is my limit ATM! I have a heated pillow which seems to do wonders for gassy back pain. Sent from my iPhone using WLSurgery

Glad your home safe and sound love!!

Hope the pain eases up for you soon xxx

Ah I am glad you are home chick. I also had a 2 night stay when I was in. It can be a bit of a shock when you first wake up, I know I was sick a lot especially when they were giving me the dissolvable paracetamol, just couldn't tolerate them. Get lots of rest and try and get in lots of fluid and you will be running around in no time. X

Did you find you were sick after you got home too?

Any of my medication makes me feel very queezy and I always vomit then feel fab!

I am glad you are home and I hope the pain goes away quickly. Try to keep up on your fluid in take and take each day as they come, each day does gets easier! Wishing you a pain free recovery. Xxxx :)

I had a call from Taunton hospital today to say they have to put my surgery back to 1st sep instead of 26th aug! Very disappointed but nothing I can do about it it's only a week I guess! Good luck to everyone else being done this month xx

Finally home, myself, after surgery on Monday. It went relatively smooth, except I had a bit of sleep apnea in recovery (undetected previously) which meant they put me in HDU for the night.

Really glad to finally be at home now!

Doing really well, had my follow up appointment this evening with Mr Mannur and I have been told to start exercising twice a day. Stickers healing although still quite sore. I have lost a total of 19 pounds, so really pleased. I feel quite well a d want to start driving but I have been told two weeks so roll on Friday.

I am glad that you are feeling better, I had a peppermint tea every day for a week and that helped with the wind pain or you could try chewable windeze they are supposed to be good. Xxx
