Hi Jo - My dietician is due to ring me in the morning for our monthly chat.

She wants to know what my weight is from that morning (so weigh yourself and write it down, morning of call.

Generally asks how you are what meals you are having, what excercise, then about every 3 - 4 months makes an appointment for a meeting!

I have found it quite good to communicate this way, Pam - my dietician is very relaxed and always puts my mind at rest.
Hope this helps Jo x

Toffee, have you thought about trying little melba toasts?
They are around about 75 cals per pack of 6 and are very thin & crispy. They look like nothing but are actually pretty satisfying and go down easier than regular toast.

I looked for Melba toast in tesco yesterday but our local store is only little so don't think they stock them. Will look further afield when I have 2 mins to spare on Thursday. (I work mon-weds).
I love bread sooooo much but I dont want to keep bringing it back up. :-(

Hiya - sorry for being MIA yesterday. First day back at work after a week off and I fell asleep over the laptop.

I did ok though food wise - despite leaving my lunch at home!

Checking in for today.

Breakfast - yogurt, actimel
Lunch - soup, apple
Tea - chicken, veg, pasta in tomato sauce

Calories 973
Protein 59.1
Water nearly 2.0 litres

I phoned the dietician today and explained that I have no restriction. I've started to get hungrier despite eating slowly. It's four weeks since I had my fill. I have an appointment at the clinic in five weeks time and he is asking the registrar to do a fill then. I don't want to book with the xray fill because they take two hours and last time failed to actually fill it. The registrar took ten minutes!

My scales are showing 1lb up on Friday despite never going over 1100 calories. I'm just hoping it's a blip and I'll see a loss this Friday.

Evening all. I just managed to set my microwave on fire doing a jack pot. Traumatised. Going to see what I can rescue of my evening meal.

Poor Weeble - you must of been shattered hun x

If you have put a lb on - I can only think perhaps your not getting enough calories.....it can go against you; body goes into starvation mode if you don`t eat enough.

Good idea to log what you eat though and perhaps just increase a little hun x

Oh crikey, tb! That is traumatic!
My mum did the same before Xmas with mashed potato. Scary!,

Thanks Kat and Neen, I can't believe I will be given the green light on normal food. As some foods get stuck as it is! Should I mention this or would it jeopardise my fill? X

I love them

Sorry about the earlier post - I just cannot believe that happened. The flat is full of smoke and I have got all the windows open. I have had a furious row with Mr TB as he was in the living room which is right next to the kitchen and did not realise the room was full of smoke and it was bellowing out of the kitchen door. It has scared me to death and so he is going off to his mom for a few days tomorrow because I cannot cope with looking after him when he doesn't notice the place is on fire. I am worried something will happen when I am at work.

Anyway sorry to go on.

Today I have had:

Actimel
2 cups of coffee
water - not enough
1 weetabix with skimmed milk and a sprinkle of splenda
chicken soup
rest of home made chilli

My band is so tight after the stress and I am sitting here hoping the little bit I ate stays down.

Needless to say I will not be doing jacket pot in the microwave again:rolleyes:. Amazingly it seems to have survived incinerating the jacket potato to charcoal...I think I will just go buy a new one tomorrow evening rather than risk using it again.

Again apologies for the vent.

Jo - Yes if you are having a problem of any sort - be it food getting stuck etc; then she will want to know. The dieticians have numerous people having this surgery; and it helps them to know how your coping in every way.

The more they learn from their patients, the more they can help others with advice.

If food does get stuck, its most likely that food is`nt suitable to you.....it should`nt affect your fill as its not connected hun x

Aw Tranquil - I`m sorry you are having so much stress, work must be hard enough - without the added worries of home too. Hope Mr TB will be ok at his mums. Sometimes its as well to vent. Not healthy to bottle it up hun x

Glad that you`re ok....nothing a new microwave can`t fix.

Take care Tranquil - hope tomorrow is a better day x
