Honeymoon is over I am HUNGRY!!!! Ll need to add protein soon

Oh thanks for ur time Mazza. I have about 10 mouth full of mash with light flora... but I think it ll be TOTM soon so might be why I am more hungry than usual. Also I want to turn my patern around. People have said that u should eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dine like a peasant (?) But I am the opposite, I can eat in the first half of the day but evening wise I can eat for 3 people

That's exactly what I do & Dr Fred, my Dietician says that happens because I eat so little during the day my body is needing food at night & to try and eat more during the day....but I find that very difficult.

Its VERY common with a band not to be able to manage much for breakfast so dont worry too much about that, for me its still the case, but:

@ Mrs Pill you should attempt to have something a bit more substantial for lunch. Protein, veg combo if poss - just a little will keep you fuller and you will not need /want so much in the evening. Just take it slowly. ;)

@miserable - mash is fine at your stage but could you add some protein to it, soft cheese or even grated hard cheese, anything whizzed right up with no lumps. I often had an ocean pie blended with parsley sauce added to thin it out. A WW meal would last for two meals! ;)

I have had some grated light cheese tonight so I am glad it is the right thing to do. I wanted to wait a bit longer before moving onto fish pies or cottage pie as I am only 24 hours into the mushy stage... but had a cup of hot chocolate and that satisfied me. So all good :) thanks again Mazza. I should say the banders wizard :)

Ah I see, didnt realise you were just onto mushies - when you get towards the next stage you could experiment with mushing them up.

The first time I had cod in extra parsley sauce with milky / cheesy mash it was like heaven in a bowl ha ha xx

I've been starving all day, can't wait for my 3rd fill on Monday.
B- low fat yog with tbs of granola (ate half)
L- veg stir fry with quorn pieces

Yesterday

B - 3 ryvitas and 35g philly
S - low fat yoghurt
L - pork (last of the leftovers from Sunday roast); hard-boiled egg, salad
D - salmon, carrots, swede, boiled potato, 2tbsp parsley sauce
S - small glass of milk with NAS Milkshake syrup

Well I am not sure what I am having for my dinner as my OH is taking me out.

B - low fat yoghurt and 20g cereals, chopped apple
L - whole grain crackers, lean ham and cucumber

S - coffee with low fat vanilla creamer (yum - brought it back from the states - feels like a real treat and only 35cals per teaspoon - mind you, I may get my OH to bring back the full fat version at 50cals per teaspoon when he comes back home again in december - I don't mind having a little fat, because its less sweet). Why does everyone think low fat needs to have lots of artificial sweetner????

So 2 weeks post op. B) tea.5 mini cheddar (naughty me)

S) 7 mini cheddar

lovely dinner with OH

chicken ticka skewer starter followed bygrilled goats cheese, roasted beetroot and butternut squash salad with cashew nuts.

Weigh in tomorrow - hope the scales are on my side

Just to update anyone who may be interested about the party: I had 2 french martinis and a never ending glass of champagne over 4 hours! I have a wee headache today :( Not surprised really!!! but it was really good. As for the food- I passed up on the canapes and just had 4 or 5 deep fried and battered prawns and 4 small profiteroles so although it wasn't the best of food choices, it also wasn't the worst --in quantity terms anyway. Back on the straight and narrow today :)

How did u find drinking champagne? This is my mum and I favorite and she ll find it weird if I don't drink it... so did u wait until it has gone flat or did u managed the bubbles?

B) scramble eggs managed about half of one egg. Cup of coffee with one sugar.
L) 100ml of soup and a slimfast shake
D) 0.5 jacket potatoes with cheese and few baked beans

B - 3 x crackers and peanut butter
L - 60g x tuna, lettuce, carrot, apple, hard boiled egg, 2 x snackajack rice cakes
S - 1.5 x glass champagne (including the bubbles LOL), wasabi peas
D - 100ml sweetcorn soup, 3/4 poussin, 2tbsp pepperonata, 5 x triple cooked chips, 2tsps stolen of my OHs bearnaise sauce to dip the chips in, 1 x scoop of blackcurrant sorbet, 1 x petit four

oh, what a beautiful dinner I had with friends and my OH last night for my birthday. Champagne was no problem (and whether I could drink champagne or not, was one of the questions I asked Mr Super at my consultation ... how sad am I?!?!) @ Mis, hopefully you will be able to enjoy the odd glass of bubbles, just like Mrs P and myself did this weekend :)

I didn't have a problem but I think thats because my band isn't so tight that I can't burp! I noticed that after my last fill I couldn't burp again which I guess indicates that it was very tight but its relaxed over the last 2 weeks and I can now burp again! So the champers went down fine! ...a bit too fine TBH!

FB: It was my son's birthday on Friday too....as well as my BF.... its a good time for birthdays :) Happy birthday anyway- Just think...this time next year you'll be a slim person! xx
