Banders Daily Diet and Exercise Log

Well done TB. I bet it was good to keep the food down!!
Yesterday I had:
2 Actimels
Pureed chicken curry
Mushroom soup
and.....
3 French Martinis!
It was my friends birthday and I have to find a new drink! so its not fizzy but very sweet but hey- you have to have a life don't you! I was in a happy frame of mind though :) It all added up to about 1200 calories according to myfitnesspal so not too horrendous :)
 
B - Half a Pint of Soya Milk
L - 6 Chip shop chips & 1 Fried Egg
D - 1 Elmwood Chicken Escalope & 1/3 of a tin of Beans ( ate 80% of it)

Fluids

1 Cuppa Tea
1 Cuppa Coffee
2 Pints of Nas Squash
1/2 Pint of Soya Milk
 
B: choc protein shake c 200ml ssmilk
L: 1/4 pack houmous + 1/8 pot guacomole + 2 melba toasts
D: 1/4 pack haddock in chive and lemon butter c 2tbsp mash pots
snack: 2 oat cakes c nutella and peanut butter.
 
:(Chucking up has returned.

I have been in work most of this week and I have not been eating anything until I have got home and the last two nights nothing has stayed down. Not been able to get out on my bike either because of getting into work earlier than usual. Going to make some changes in the morning. Going to try an omelette for breakfast and take some lunch and just nibble on it through the afternoon. Need to get past this as it is not doing me any good.

TB- I hope you're getting somewhere with altering your diet...it seems like you're having a lot of trouble. Do you take some protein shakes instead?

I've eaten my first egg today!- scrambled and it went down fine and was lovely mmmm.
B: Protein shake
L: Houmous,guacomole and 3 melba toasts
D: Scrambled egg,3 melba toasts and butter
S: milky coffee with oatcake spread with peanut butter and nutella! mmm
 
B - Alpro Fruits of the Forest Yogurt
L - Linda McCartneys Chilli
D - 1 Cauldron Veggie Sausage & 45g of Baked Beans
S - 1 Gherkin (Pickled)

Fluids

2 Pints of Nas Squash
( Will have more later)
 
TB- I hope you're getting somewhere with altering your diet...it seems like you're having a lot of trouble. Do you take some protein shakes instead?

I have managed shakes a few mornings if I am working from home but if I am in work by the time I have had my actimel and coffee and the water with my meds I cannot manage the shake without risking it coming back again. I am still working on things. I will get there:D.

Now I appear to have proper restriction after my 2nd fill - here we go ;

B - 25g granola no milk
MM - few grapes ( minus skins)
L - some beef casserole (half a bowl)
MA - marks n sparks low fat panacotta
D - half chicken breast in garlic Maggie sauce , few carrots n sprouts plus tiny bit mash

First day in 6 weeks not been mega hungry so am well pleased
 
Omelettes ..... How many eggs is the norm? MOH says 3 but that seems a bit much - any ideas ??

I would try one first and see how you go. I usually have two but I built up to it. Since my third fill I tried an egg once and it did not stay down. Eggs can be funny things!

Food stayed down and I did 2 miles on my bike this morning:D

My food not staying down has been entirely my own fault - not chewing enough, too big a portion for the restriction and not watching for the new full signs until it was too late.

Not saying I have it licked - but I am learning:D

Its a steep learning curve TB. I sympathise. I'm finding that I'm almost having to relearn the mechanics of chewing! Chewing things until they are a paste is not normal for me as I used to throw things down my throat as fast as I could! Each meal has become a concious effort to chew, chew, chew until food is almost liquid.... which actually makes you taste things more. Thats a revelation for me actually. There are things that I used to like before but now I don't really like the taste- haggis being one of them. I'm loving fish though now. Before I used to think it was boring and bland but I love it now.
And that new feeling full signal is so difficult isn't it! I really am not sure what full feel like. I know that when the food has gone though I need to burp and that makes me feel fuller! haha. Its a very satisfying feeling that burp! :) I bet ur on countdown to Jamaica. How many weeks now?

MGoody- I started with 1 egg to see how it went down and have progressed to 2 with no problems and 2 eggs fill me to the brim!

Thanks ladies - will go with a one egg omelette for brekki - thought I was going to need a de fill after having 2 ml put in last tues as was sticking everyday plus was sick once - it's all calmed down now thankfully - think I'm going to do what all u guys do after a fill and go on liquids/sloppies for a week after even though my provider advised not necessary - at least it will lessen the risk of feeling ill and thinking band is too tight ! Takes a bit if getting used to doesn't it - I'm 7 weeks in now but ....... At least it keeps be occupied as pre-band dieting for 7 weeks I would've bailed out due to boredom .

It is about 10 weeks or so to the holiday:D

In a couple of weeks I am going to start going through my clothes to see what I can take - as I said in another post I am determined not to buy anything - there is wearable stuff and I have to watch the pennies;)
