BANDERS UNITE ! Get to know each other chatter !

CC that sounds like how I was following my last fill, it gradually got better over a couple of weeks, but when I felt that horrible uncomfortable feeling I was also sick. I'm trying to decide if I'm at my sweetspot or not, some days I think I am and then others I don't? Take it easy and hopefully things will improve soon for you, oh and remember that stress will tighten bands so try not to worry xx

Hi all. Just a quick check in. I am still dealing with my work issue. I actually got to leave work early today - the first time since I started back on 3 March. I am beyond exhaustion and I still have to get through Monday when the thing I am dealing with is due to finish. I hope to be back posting on Wednesday or Thursday but I need to sleep first! I will catch up with you all then. Hope everyone is keeping well.

A very tired:4635:

Fed Up!!!! .... but only a little!

I'm gagging for a nice drink. No I'm not an alcoholic (in fact I don't really like alcohol that much )

I mean, I yearn to have a nice glug. I went to the gym twice yesterday (long story) and all I wanted to do was glug some water. I couldn't. At one point I had to bring the water back up because it just sat in my chest during the class. Since my fill I've been unable to drink any more than little sips ... even then it gets stuck sometimes. My pee looks like golden syrup !!!!!!!!!!

I brought a glass of water up to bed to drink in the morning - just tried some ... the water got stuck and took a few minutes to drain down.

Yeah it's Cah-ching complaining again :D but surely this aint right? I've been trying to stay positive as I know I need to lose weight (I'm a fattie fattie fat fat :)), but I am struggling with drink. I can eat; biscuits :17729:(much to my chagrin :mad:) and mash potato & beans (toddler food) or soup (my least liked food ever :mad:).

The sun is shining, it's warm and I'm thirsty.

And breathe .... :)

x

Just have to practice sipping slowly, even getting some ice lolly moulds and putting plain water or NAS in them would be a good way to get more liquid in.
It's weird that you can eat but not drink, because I would say it was too tight if you couldn't get food down.
I would try a straw, if you are going really slow it would be less likely to swallow too much air using a straw.
I use a straw slowly and never had a wind pain issue.

FOod gets stuck too :D. However I have to eat very tiny bites - much like my drinking .... sips. I use straws regularly ... no easing of discomfort.

Just took a sip of water ... took some time to drain down lol.

I'm determined to try bulkier foods today even if mash potato gets stuck :)

I would get liquids balling up in my chest when I was overtight.
If you can go on liquids today to give everything one last chance to calm down in there and see how you feel tomorrow.
What I did was feel tight like that but then keep trying to eat more solid stuff (obviously cos I was hungry!) and re-aggrivate it all again so I didn't really know if it was genuinely too tight or just me rushing myself , if you see what I mean.
I had a half mil out and could eat and drink everything again fine but still had really good restriction.
Sometimes it's amazing how little you need out to make a world of difference.

I'm thinking that I will have to have a little aspirated as I struggle with the 'balling up' (GREAT phrase :D) of fluids. I've been giving it a chance, remaining positive (which I have been) and trying not to be quick to sya it's too tight, but I think it is only by a little bit. Yesterday I had a protein shake for breakfast ... it made me throw-up because it got stuck. I can just about manage my mash potato in tiny mouthfuls diluted with saliva :yuk:

Yeah I think it sounds like it would be better for you to get a titchy bit out, I went on struggling for a good month before I got my backside down to hospital and I wouldn't wish that kind of misery on anyone!!
Give em a call and get it sorted hun, no point in feeling crappy if you can have it dealt with sooner x
The fact that things are making you throw up constantly is really bad news for your band, you don't want to risk slippage etc

Hi cc, poor you, you do make me smile! Hope you stop balling up real soon!

I'm sat in the car on way to my first fill under X-ray. Mixed emotions! Will report in later! Jo xx

well just had some water. after watery eyes (no pun .... etc :)), discomfort (as if i'd eaten a hunk of dry bread), and pain ... I involuntarily threw up - projectile stylee. Pain subsides aaaahhh.

Good luck!!! WHere are you having it done?

I was so scared of the needle etc. cost it's a big brute of a needle. My palms were sweating when they tipped the table etc. However it was OK ... no pain ... apart from me port (which was still very sore) and him having to fondle it because it'd flipped. The worst bit was drinking the barium.

Nah you'll be OK honey. All roads lead to Slim from now on :D x

Just noticed you had your surgery 10th March ... wow, they don't hang about do they??! Very good. I had my op on 10th April and had my first fill (xray fill) 20th June! No wonder I'm a fattie fatty fat fat lol.
