Jayney , your dietician has put you in starvation mode

Morning all hope your all having a good day so far.

Jenn congrats on your 2lb:D. I weighed in and stayed the same..i have altered by weight to show the gain i had previously. Back on the wagon today though so i shall have a loss next week for sure, i had bran and sultanas for brekkie, home made soup for lunch, tea not decided what i fancy yet..might do a fish pie mash topped of course!. I also need to get a ticker but it doesn't sign me in to the ticker site thats on here..doesnt like me lol

Two of my kids broke up yesterday so bit late posting. arguing already aaarrrggghhhh!!!

anyway i'd beta go and get my soup out the freezer....butternut and carrot i think..yum x

Thanks sweetie, well a maintain is good too...better than a gain right?;)

You choices sound nice....is the fish pie homemade? Have you tried having swede and carrots instead of potatoes? really nice on a fish pie. we make our with a luxury fish mix from the fishmongers...it normally has salmon, king prawns, haddock or cod, tuna and sometimes shark. We make it from scratch and add peas and sometimes sweetcorn and a fresh homemade sauce.....it makes enough for 4 adult portions and 4 kids portions ....so I buy the small aluminium take away containers from the store and store them in portions sizes....makes a great meal on the quick when you can't be bothered cooking. and we use either swede and carrot mashin....or sometimes mix sweet potato and white potato with a bit of spinach.....it is lovely!!

Sorry to hear about the weight, but I am sure you will do better next week. Maybe you have gone into starvation mode too? If you are exercising and only having 800 calories....then you will be having even less each day which will push you into starvation mode and your body will hold on to everything.....just a thought though.;)

The worst job in the world..i'd rather clean loo's lol:D

nah....I hate cleaning the loos.....but then I don't iron either...unless it is REALLY important. I pull everything out of the drier as soon as they are done so they aren't any wrinkles in the clothes.....so it works out well.

hey day 10 post op doing well now got dirohea and sick bug , but seem to be on mend now just graduated to slop but hey not complaining just finding drinking hard cant seem to fit it in. got letter fom derby hospital not got first check up till middle of january is this usual seems a long way off to me

Yes homemade fish pie, i do use a mix of sweet and normal spud. I'd eat the swede but no one else would, i like the idea of using spinach tho..i love the stuff. I have some swiss chard in the garden might shove a bit of that in the mash and see!.

Roast beetroot is a new one on me too, i grew my own this year and it's lovely. I also managed to grow a water melon was very small tho bless it. You can't beat growing your own.:D

I have done my housework and weighed again and was 1lb down but i'll keep my sts....this weight malarky does my head in:p.

Sorry to hear you have a bug, hope you feel better soon. Is is exciting gratuating to slop? I'm a terrible drinker now one or two a day most days. little and often is the best way for you i suppose.

It does seem a long time to wait for a check up, but i'm pre op so not much help..i'm sure someone else we be along very soon xx

Sorry you weren't well. It really does make you feel so sluggish when you aren't well. Yeah...on to the slop....Slop is better than nothing, trust me! :D I personally think that it might be better to wait a bit that way your band can settle in and you can see if you need any fills or not....it may be you can tell more by January....but good luck when you do go.;) I am also a pre-op bander....but I am sure need or mazza could give you a bit more info....and a few others....someone will comment soon.

I like beetroot in salad...but I only like the raw stuff...and not the stuff in vinegar.....I hate vinegar...I only have it in the house to help with cleaning and the windows...*LOL* but other half like it.....he's a freak I tells ya!! *LOL*

The chard would be a good idea...just enough to help but not enough to trigger anyone to notice.... I put skimmed milk in my mash and a little bit of cream cheese ( extra light) instead of butter or half fat creame fraiche. But then again....As bad as it is I love a bit of butter...... Also cooked onions or chives are also nice in the mash....

Wow you grown your own...I would love to do that, but my dogs would eat anything before I ever get my hands on it. I have a HUGE garden....but no way of growing anything nice...even with a big boxed garden off the ground...cuz the visitor dog jumps on everything as well.....annoying little things......;)

I also found out from my new diet site that the hour (more like hour and a half) grocery shop I did earlier burned off 300 cals.....cuz i was pushing around a heavy trolly...*LOL* plus my house work...and this just makes me think that I am in starvation mode too which was why I am not really losing much, because I am only drinking the milk which isn't much in the way of calories.

Who'd have thunk it .. me feeling anxious about being able to eat??????

(I still have no restriction) :(

Oh-hum. Not to worry it'll be sorted in November when I get my next fill.

thanks for the thoughts girls I must admit I have thought it was rather low but he seemed to know what he was on about and cost £100 for 40 minutes so would have hoped he was good enough but like I said will try one more week and then I am in egypt anyway so wont be counting calories!!! Nearly home time yeah cant wait to get that wine down my neck.

Yes i love growing my own, this is my first proper go as only moved to this house last summer, but have grown in pots before.
I have a dog so i made 2 raised beds and put netting round she can't get in now. I grew courgettes green and yellow, cucumbers..crystal lemon...round balls..very nice and also normal marketmore. 4 different types of toms. patty pan and butternut squash, sweetcorn. spuds. carrots, parsnips, peas, strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries, beetroot, spring onions, garlic, sprouts, broccoli, swiss chard, onions, red currants, cranberries, lettuce, radishes, bits still growing.

I also did lots of flowers we had some monster sunflowers one had 16 heads:eek: freaky but kids loved it. My morning glory was beautiful....good job i'm female or i couldn't say that :rotflmao:. The house was empty for 18 months so you can imagine the state the gardens were in. I love gardening it's good for my soul :)
