BANDERS UNITE ! Get to know each other chatter !

LOL! I think I'd recognise you with that huge smile of yours :)

tee hee....... I can't work out how to reduce the size, I spent ages looking at it last night till I gave up, it fills the screen!!!

Just been on the wii board and since i'd last been on i've lost 1 stone 4lbs!! very pleased...been trying to get the silly thing to work for the last 2 weeks lol needed syncing hubby sorted it thankfully .

Yes i love growing my own, this is my first proper go as only moved to this house last summer, but have grown in pots before.
I have a dog so i made 2 raised beds and put netting round she can't get in now. I grew courgettes green and yellow, cucumbers..crystal lemon...round balls..very nice and also normal marketmore. 4 different types of toms. patty pan and butternut squash, sweetcorn. spuds. carrots, parsnips, peas, strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries, beetroot, spring onions, garlic, sprouts, broccoli, swiss chard, onions, red currants, cranberries, lettuce, radishes, bits still growing.

I also did lots of flowers we had some monster sunflowers one had 16 heads:eek: freaky but kids loved it. My morning glory was beautiful....good job i'm female or i couldn't say that :rotflmao:. The house was empty for 18 months so you can imagine the state the gardens were in. I love gardening it's good for my soul :)

I so wished you live near me....I love almost all of that....now if you could grow me some organic roses and violets....now that would be something as well....

I love beautiful gardens...but I 1) don't have the time 2) would rather pay someone else to do it 3) haven't got the time 4) don't have any time 5) can't remember....oh yeah....no time! *LOL*

Glad you have something you love....You love gardening like I love baking! *LOL* luckily for me I am not a sweet tooth or my diets would be out of the window! *LOL*

I am not even sure my Wii goes that high...I am scared to get on it....besides I know it has an 18 stone limit and I am SOOOOOOOO far off that it is scary.

Kelly, WELL DONE>>>>>> it's nice to see that you've lost though isn't it? I bet you were well chuffed....:D

Neen---- watched Biggest loser today.....interesting....I haven't really gotten into it just yet. I don't know much about the bob guy, but he was crying.....so not too impressed. I am sure there is much more too it, but on first impressions, it is interesting and scary to see people want to give up so easy....but then maybe that is just the way I am. Hell, if i were on TV, being paid to lose weight, having the gym there for me so people didn't stare...and all living expenses sorted.....I'd work out until I literally dropped.

Hey Jenn I know exactly what you mean ref the weighing. I used to weigh morning NOON and night!!! It did my head in in the end as my mood depended entirely on if I'd lost or not. I gave my scales to my sister in the end and she only allowed me to have them once a week for a weigh in. It was soooo hard to break the habit, but now I'm cured lol as it's been nearly three months (!!!!!) Since I last weighed myself at home now. I use my clothes comfort as a guide now. FANTASTIC on thge one stone loss btw xxxxx

Neen thank you so much for the Bob link. It's fab. Will sync to my ipod and absorb this week. Listened to it all last night and he makes some excellent points which can be actioned straight away. Thanks again luvvie xxx

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all ok today,

Not had time to catch up properly yet,

I am also weighing every day at the moment and often more. Its not good for your head though like you said, your mood depends on your weight and as it changes throughout the day its not good. I gave my scales to my mum years ago for the same reasons but bought new ones when I started the pre-op diet, naughty. Keep them in my loft room though so I have to really want to weigh myself to go up three flights of stairs!! I suppose Im gettin a bit of excersize out of it.

Can I just ask how long it took for everyones port sites to stop being painfull? Mine is still quite b ad on occasions such as when I sit totally upright in a high backed chair and also I tried swimming but it really hurt? Am I normal? Hehe I wont ask my husband that question, too scared of the answer.

Hi everyone xxxx

Well done on your Stone Jenn! That's fantastic x

Rache , you are welcome, he does talk a lot but he has some great advice , especially about the comfort eating.
I have some other bits and pieces that I have found useful so let me know if you are interested in any more linkage x

Leesh, your port is stitched to your chest muscle if it's in between the lady bumps at the front so things that use these muscles like swimming early on will probably twinge a bit.

I still get pains in mine if I lay on my side for too long or knock it etc.
If you feel it's constantly sore then give your team a ring x

Afternoon all. Hope you are having a lovely weekend. I have an awful hangover and will spend the day slonking on the sofa!! Will post again tomorrow.

hey day 10 post op doing well now got dirohea and sick bug , but seem to be on mend now just graduated to slop but hey not complaining just finding drinking hard cant seem to fit it in. got letter fom derby hospital not got first check up till middle of january is this usual seems a long way off to me

Hi Rydergirl x 6-8 weeks after your op is about average for a first fill/check up.
If anything in particular is worrying you or you want to ask anything and double check,..you mustn't be afraid to call the surgery team and put your mind at rest.
Also ask whatever you want here and we'll be able to help to some degree.
Hope you are fully back to 100% health soon x

Slonking is good! Hope you enjoyed yourself last night with hubby!
Saturday is my lazy day too so I am gonna nerd it up on Warcraft and Dean is making meatballs tonight so I am excused from kitchen duty too :D

Thanks Neen! :D

I got my portion pots yesterday...christ they look big to me....not small! They look like more food than I thought. I also used my special measuring tape to measure my bits and pieces so I will check in 4 weeks time to see if there are any changes. I know that since i lost the stone my "bigger" jeans are in need of a belt now so at least something is happening.

I also sorted out the pedometer....It is doing an ok job, but found that it wasn't counting steps properly. It was count 3 steps for my 8 steps....but at least I can get a round about figure. And might need to double it....but I will defiantly add an additional 25% cuz it isn't count correctly.

Saturdays are my big clean day, that is when I can sort out all the bigger stuff, clean the loos, out out the laundry, dusts etc. Don't get me wrong I vacuum and do the dishes and tidy during the week, but the weekend is for big stuff. Sundays are my chill out day...at least for a short whilst. I will be doing Sunday car boots for my cupcakes, muffins, cakepops, and whoopie pies.....so Friday's Saturday's and Sunday's will be big work days. But for now, I am just testing stuff out.

This mornings has been really nice, My eldest helped me vacuum a bit, and we tidied together. We had a bit of Paul Weller and also the Jam on in the back ground, whilst I did the dishes and cleaned the cupboard doors. I am also doing the laundry. Plus I need to get the OH to help me get some stuff into the attic and I need to change all the beds still , and vacuum upstairs and re-tidy the kids rooms ( although the 5 year old tidies his own stuff mainly).

I still need to clean the loos up stairs, and when it is all over, I will take my shower and straighten my hair and try and look presentable for the OH, as right now I just look like a skivvy.*LOL*

Sunday is usally my busy day for changing all the bedding, getting the school uniforms done ect. In the week when the boys have school It doesn't take me long to blitz round everyday...mind you holiday this week coming so It will be a bit more untidy.

My kids are not so helpful!!! I have to stand over my eldest when he tidies up his toys as he stops to play with stuff every minute or so!

Now I know (thanks Mazza) that the pots are mainly for carbs, I'm not too worried about them. I got all three of my Rosemary Conley books now so Dean and I are going to to the fast start program after the halloween hols.
I lost 2lbs of the regain (the final two that have been off and on a bit recently) so I hope next week ...or the one after..my ticker will show a change for the better

Thanks for the advice Neen, you are so lovely with everyone, you most certainly deserve to achieve your desires. On that note well done on the weight loss. It sounds like you are hopefully on your way again so all your efforts are paying off.

My little boy is a bit poorly today so we are having a pyjami day, watched cars and fifi DVD and just on mosters inc now. My choice he he.

It's my pleasure Leesh x I want all of us to show everyone and ourselves (mainly) that we can make these bands work and get to our goal weights :)

It sounds like a lovely snuggly day for you already and I love watching films like that with our kids....can't wait to watch a Christmas Carol in the dark, with the fire going and Christmas tree etc....and all under some big furry throws....ahhhh bliss!! And yeah I am having my customary bucket of Baileys...but that's my treat for doing the Christmas party food and Xmas dinner every year :)
