BANDERS UNITE ! Get to know each other chatter !

Morning all x
I think logging everything you eat and what you felt like and what you felt like after having it is a really useful exercise CC because you can use what you learn to plan out the following weeks and put things in place to help avoid danger times and keep yourself going.

I imagine you would lose quite a lot of visceral fat before noticing so much of the more obvious fat going.

You need to make sure you are having enough calories from good foods so you don't run out of steam...you needn't be hungry and you have enough leeway calorie wise at the moment to work in a daily treat if you wanted it.

As for the fill, I reckon a mil or just under would make a big difference.

Ok I been good all week ( I have been Kit Kat free for...5 days). I have been using my wii fit till my legs are sore. I been making sure I stick to the rules ...and I haven't lost an ounce :(
I have been sick alot less. In fact the first time I was sick this week was this morning. I have discovered if I take a sneaky sip of anything whilst eating - that is exactly when the hiccups start and I end up spewing.
I can't help think that all the vomitting has affected my band. Every now and again I get wee pangs of pain round about where my band is. Will call the hopsital again..maybe this time will actually call me back.

Definately press the hospital for a check up to make sure everything is OK. I think if the band had slipped , from what I have been told, you would be in agony constantly but I have had long periods of vomitting when my band was too tight and it is a worry.

I think you are right that you must persevere and get seen xx
As for the lack of loss, if your eating has been erratic for a long while I imagine your body is still hedging it's bets and hanging on to the fat just in case a famine is round the corner.
Just keep going and give the new plan a decent amount of time ...a month should be a good indication.
Don't give up xxx We're gonna sort these flipping bands out one way or another!!

Hi,

Congratulations on the lack of spewing - that's the main thing. Also that you are eating well and eating correctly. The hospital idea is a very wise one - make sure you haven't damaged the band.

Hopefully some weight loss will present itself soon, better to get the good habits in first! ;)

CC-hope you get sorted soon, sounds so confusing for you one minute being tight the next no restriction.
Mine has been gradual from my last fill, was unable to eat b4 12 noon initially now able to eat two slices toast or a small bowl cereal, evenings now I am able to eat a large plate tho am being very good and sister is helping alot with keeping me on the straight and narrow so always have asmaller plate.
I can eat anything tho (strangely have been too scared to try apples?!?!)
We'll get there I'm sure..... try again with another fill me thinks.
Mazza- Smashing dress, is it for a special occasion? We need pics if so :)
Lostinmy30's- Hope you are sorted soon chuck and well bloomin done on 5 days free of Kit Kats luv!! Yr a star, make it six now xx

Can't remember who posted about pain in port area, might have been Leesh. Am nearly 6months post op and I still get a stitch like feeling when I sit in a certain position. Changing position always eases it so I've not been too worried.

Am a lazy bean today.... I was the sole adult supervision at a party full of 16 year olds yesterday (they are so intrigued by alcohol at that age, I remember it well) twas an eventful evening lol but was starving by 1am so stopped at the garage and got a sarny, which turned into a grab bag of crisps and a pack of walnut whips too!!

I'm convinced it was because I didn't have anything to drink from 5pm that caused me to be so hungry. I was hoping there'd be squash for me to have but nothing when I got there barring alcohol and I WILL NOT drink and drive. Anyway hiccup done I am proceeding without badmouthing myself (a miracle)
Now having brunch, two slices toast with poached eggs. Yum.
Anyone else not like to leave a single item on the counter like me?
I was going to have two poached eggs and felt so sorry for the last egg remaining I poached that too!!
Why do we do that? The egg has no feelings in it's current state and it's more cals on my plate!!!
I'm telling myself it's ok as it's brunch, but I knbow deep down it's not anything to do with that. It's greed.
Another day another dilema to face up to!!

Have a great Sunday peeps xxx

Hi Rache,

I started reading your post and thinking - what she on about???!! She's had a bypass! For some unknown reason I thought you were a bypasser who just liked posting here (which I thought was nice!) lol.

Not strange that you're too scared to try apples ... because I am too! I bought two apples last week to try and haven't/couldn't touched them (even with my loss of restriction) - too scared . I gave them to my brother this morning. I eat satsumas, plums and bananas and grapes. Scared witless of apples.

May be the exercise has heightened osmosis? Anyway whatever I'll have to get filled again. I had a banana at 10:30ish and I'm hungry already. Going to have some lunch ... try the Swedish Krisprolls again and see if they stay down the last time I had them they popped right out again that was about 11 days ago. I'll have a satsuma too I think.

Liking the smaller picture lol - I loved seeing your smiley face on the other one though lol

woooooh!! i just did the zumba basic instruction thing...59 minutes....I am sweating like a pig! *LOL* Luckily for me I was an aerobic instructor or I may have tried to to the high impact version...and not low....but the low has still kicked my bum...*LOL* I am loving it....

hello fellow banders

im happy today..my bmi is nearly in the 30s :)
another 2lbs and i have 100lbs less to lose. seems so much more managable.

xx

hey ladies,

Well I had a bit of bread today, mainly because I did that work out today, and I worked out with all the other stuff I did today that I burned off 487 calories.....and considering I am only intaking 1012 cals on the milk diet.....it just takes me down to 525 cals....which will no doubt push me into starvation....so I thought I would have a bit of something.....which was one piece of homemade bread....and I feel awful!

I am tired all of a sudden....and could sleep for the world.....and I feel a bit sick....I guess 24 days of not eating will do that to ya.....well I won't have anything else until thursday...and even then I am not having much.

I think I am also going to talk to them about the website and see what they say....I may if thing work out with the site and I can see that I lose 2lbs a week continually, then I don't see why I would need to have the surgery. Because it's not a diet...it about eating healthy and counting what I eat and staying within my limits. I know I well-disciplined, and that I could easily do this as I have not only will powder, but the ability.....so I will see if maybe I can eventually ( after seeing the surgeon) push the surgery back a couple of months. I think that if it works them maybe I can avoid surgery, and if not well then it is only delayed a couple of months at worse.

Jeeeezzz i am sooooooooooo tired......You know had I not done that workout today, I wouldn't have felt the need to have to get myself out of starvation mode. well I will know more in a couple of days, as it takes a couple of days for things to show on the scales anyway.
