BANDERS UNITE ! Get to know each other chatter !

Hi Leesh! Good to hear from you xxx I hope you're settling into your new job OK.
If you're stressed or nervy due to that, it can make the band feel tighter by itself as well...go steady with the food. I'm sure if you take titchy bites slowly you should be fine!

Glad you like the beefcakes...I'll keep em comingx

Hey ladies. I've not been ignoring you honest, had a desperate week and am glad to say the cloud is now lifting. Lots to say so will log on properly later (takes forever on my phone) off to pics now to see Let Me In. Have a lovely day everyone.....and Neen top beefcakes as ever flower xx

I started a diary yesterday to show the dietician when I go this Friday, Not because I feel I am eating crap foods but to show her the volume in which I am eating till feeling comfortable, because when I read other peoples food diarys (banded ppl only) its flicking a light on my head how much more I am able to eat then them....thats why I defo need this fill - Tyvm Neen xx

Good Luck with your fill Julie i hope you get some decent restriction from it x

Hi everyone just got back from Egypt it was so hot but lovely except I was sick after every meal so back to square one!!! Will weigh Monday to see if put on whilst away and as been sick I presume I will have done. How is everyone doing not had chance to read up all posts yet. Maz I just read little further on and saw what you put ref fluid loss. Hope it's all sorted out soon for you so you can reach target in your two years.... what an achievement, you really are an inspiration for us all.:happy096:
Jayne glad you had a good holiday, can't wait to hear all about it :D
CC you are so encouraging and supportive luvvie it's great reading your posts. If I knew how to give reputation on here I would do flower!!:gen126:

Life has been throwing me a curve ball of late.... it's something that happens 2-3 times a year so I know it will pass I just have to ride the wave. I struggle to post when I'm bad as I'm so negative and that's not what this thread is about so I glean the positive where I can and wait for it to go before posting again.
It is now going slowly but surely so I'm BACK!!!!!!
Following a recent bout of poorlyosity I had my tooth out Friday.... what an experience!!! an hour in the chair and one very bruised and battered mouth....it's been good for my eating though. Not able to eat much and it's uncomfortable to eat when I do so it's taking me a while to get through a meal.

Up date on psychologist - spoke with Cov Uni hospital and their psychologist has a one year waiting list. However due to me having so many problems previously at the hosp the lovely dietician there is going to see if I can get the next available cancellation. So watch this space, it's a move in the right direction.

As for Heartlands, I had my app with dietician there and despite being constantly hungry even though following all the guidelines I am not allowed another fill yet.
This has not gone down well and yes I have been licking my wounds a bit. I will put into practise what she has asked and give it the two weeks she suggested.

I have been given very mixed messages on some points so wondered if others had any guidance. In my pack it states to drink up to half hour before food and half hour after.
Now when I last went to see dietician I was told I could drink up to eating though not for half hour after. This helped me lots so I have been doing this.
Last week I was told again to not drink half hour before eating, such conflicting advise is enough to mess with anyone's head. I did mention what previous dietician had said and I was told under no circumstances to follow this.
What have you all been told please? I'd rather go with the majority now I think.

So that was my week in a nutshell.

Hope you are all well xxx

ty rach xxx Afternoon Laydee's xx

P.S. To your thread, I was told no drinking 30 mins before and after a meal (and none during of course,LoL) just thought I would put that part in incase any new banders are reading and ask :) xx

Kat how you getting on? Hope everything is still healing well for you xx
Tranquil x Thanks for visiting! Always great to get positive encouragement for the banders..we definately need it :)

Hi Neen and everyone here today (Neen - hope your really not sulking, might have to sort you out lady!)

Well like Dotty Chic, my weight has come to a standstill for the past 2 weeks, no obvious reason why, but its still early days.

Decided to have 3 eggs scrambled for my tea last night, as needed to use them up and a tiny bit of grated low fat cheddar in it. Ken was out and did`nt know what else to cook as could`nt be bothered for me only. Also took Oscar (dog) for a long walk around our local lake, as he had been neglected due to weather and had only had little 10-15 minute sprints round block and back.

Today got on scales and lost 2lbs (how). This weight loss business is very erratic.

Looking forward to having my first band fill on Thursday and am hoping it will kick start me into properly getting some weight off. We shall see!

It`s great to see how everyone is getting on, and even those that are not banders popping in and encouraging us. Very welcome of course.

Take Care everyone x

Love Kat x

Hi Rache I was told to drink up to eating even if just before put food in my mouth and then 1/2 hour after apparantly it is only really 10 minutes that is required so studies show (my dietician I paid £100 f0r 40 mins told me) but leave 1/2 hour to give it a good chance and not to be pushed through to quickly.

Holiday was lovely except not being able to keep any of the food down so hoping the scales dont punish me for it!!! just tryig to read all the posts on here but 61,079 so doubt I will manage it but hope you have all been doing well and are nice and positive xxx
